He was given a massive opportunity at PSV and then resigned before the last game of the season citing lack of support.

Sounds like a tool to me
 
Getting a new manager is a bit like the 7 stages of grief....or not?

1.Shock and disbelief: A state of numbness and disbelief

2.Denial(NOT): Europhia (YES!!) A way to process the loss

3. Pain and guilt: I thought he would be okay at first...my bad?

4. Anger and bargaining: Potter or Moyes, literally anyone would be better.

5.Depression: Why is this taking so long!? Surely they had someone I place??

6. The upward turn: The bookies have Jose as favourite..... at which point someone Mansplains that the bookies odds have no relation to who the board are looking at.

7.Acceptance and hope: He's not my choice, but let's all get behind him, whoever he is??!
 
Just going on looks, I know its shallow, but I don't think we should go from the Elephant Man to anyone who resembles a horse. Southgate and RVN have got long enough faces, without trying to figure out our squad.
 
I’m not sure what it is with this Cooper fascination. One decent season at Brighton.

I also don’t get what it is with RVN. Total gamble. I mean, bewildering.

Moyes, of the three makes the most sense. But even then, these three are hardly the most inspiring.

WHU fans mixed on Moyes. Some saying we’ll love him, others say we would be bored stiff.

I bet we’ll end up with a Hassanhuttl (sp ?).

I’ve been ****ing saying this from the start.

People just hate on him without too much logic.

Consistent finishes over 50 points and in 6 seasons of his 15, I believe he achieved more than 60 points.

He’s not glamour but he’s hardly the worst appointment

Sunderland was a doomed job. They got relegated again the season afterwards. We actually have a decent squad that could stay up. Ferguson wouldn’t have kept Sunderland up.

12 of 15 seasons, he’s been relatively successful with 50+ points. Surely the club sees this. Survival should be the goal, not pretty football. Just stay up
 
I think that going to Moyes so soon after Enzo would be too much of a strain on a squad that just isn't built for his style. If one of the reason's Cooper lost the dressing room is that they were unhappy with his coaching methods and the way he was setting them up, we'd be dooming him to fail. With the financial issues (hopefully) behind us, the £4m to release Carlos Corberan from WBA seems like an abolute bargain to me - he's been successful in the Championship with two clubs where he's exceeded expectations and played what might be descibed as Enzo-lite with a bit of practicality about it. If we do go down, he'd also be perfect for getting us back up again
 
If we went down, by the time the EFL finished with their points deductions the almighty himself couldn’t get us back up.

Corberan surely isn’t an option now after just the 1 win in his last 10, with I believe 4 or 5 0-0’s.

£4m plus the payoff for Cooper might well be the beginnings of even more financial issues.
