the fact that all has been quiet on the Yakubu front may well be a blessing in disguise. I can't see him wanting to rot away in Everton's reserves for a year, so perhaps it'll be the boot up his arse that he needs.

I hope you are right. The first priority in football is to win. However, I like to see enjoyable football which means enjoyable players. I do not know whether CMS would be better or worse than The Yak but my guess is that |I would enjoy The Yak more.

You are surely right not to be worried yet since they have not even had a pre-season friendly. Wait until you see what Kaka and Ronaldo do to our defence and then worry.
