Certainly seems like it may well be the case - strange that their chairman would come out and say its almost a done deal for us only for it not to happen. Would be quite pleased if it was true too as its about time clubs stood up to half rate players demanding ridiculous wages!!

Saying that though, Fry & McAnthony are a pair of dodgy bastards so wouldn't be surprising if it was a load of tosh just to get more and higher bids in!

In that case, it seems likely that he was being bought as a back-up. He would have known that and clearly prefers to be first-choice at Brighton.

Some idiot moaning that if we can't attract players like CMS how will we attract bigger names. And then saying CMS has no ambition. Surely the fact he has give somewhere were he OS guaranteed first team football shows he does have ambition and wants to play.

Had we spent 3m on him I'd have been either disappointed that we spent that much on a second choice strikers or disappointed that we were going into the new season with someone of CMS stature as our key striker.
