Douglas: 7
Sheehan: 5
Gerrbrand: 8
Stearman: 6
Maybury: 6
Kisnorbo: 7
Gudjonsson: 7
Sylla: 4
Smith: 5
Hume: 9
Hammond: 7

I thought Kisnorbo did well went he had to move into defence, Hume was by far our best player, Sylla consistently poor. I thought Smith showed flashes of quality but didnt seem interested second half :icon_conf

Douglas 6 didnt have much to do, goal wasnt really his fault
Maybury 7 one of his better games, adjusted ok when he had to after the red card
Stearman 7 did well, a touch lightweight but made up for it with his pace
Gerrabrand 8 he's impressed me since he's had a run in the team, looks like he's a football playing defending
Sheehan 5 both yellow cards were silly, but he looks quite comfortable on the ball, a decent left peg too.
Sylla 6 one of his better games and yet only a 6 says it all
Kisnorbo 7 I have slated him so many times, but he is playing in a thankless position and he does it quite well.
Gudjonson 8 his shooting has gone from Stefan Freund to Frank Lampard, and the commitment, and the assist.
Smith 6 you may say I was watching a different game, but he didnt play well, seemed reluctant to run like he normally does
Hammond 7 I thought he held the ball up quite well, and tried hard too.
Hume 8 good shots, good commitment, great goal

Williams looked as though he cared, Hughes didnt really show much, DeVries that one effort on goal, difficult chance, he did well to be fair, just didnt quite pull it off, shame.

Douglas 6 - was not at fault for the goal.

Maybury 6 - was more like last season but not there yet.

Sheehan 6 - Unlucky with the first booking, got exposed by Sylla's lack fight & tackling for his second booking.

Gerrbrand 7 - Class act, impressed me a lot since coming into the team.

Stearman 6 - Did ok, could tell tell that he hasn't played in that position for a while. Looks good for the future.

Kisnorbo 6 - Poor in midfield but did better when in defence.

Gudjonnson 7 - Good performance, lot heart in his play. I like that.

Sylla 4 - had a good ten minutes a the start of the game, but doesn't like to play when he needs to fight back for the ball or tackle an player. When he plays like this he's a luxury we can't afford to carry.

Smith 6 - Good first half, caused problems on the left. In and out the game in the second half. needs to work on his stamina.

Hammond 7 - Did well and caused Crewe a lot of problems. Should have had a goal, it was a bad decision to rule it out.

Hume 8 - Good determination and work rate. Scored one and unlucky with a couple of others. Not afraid to shoot.

Williams 6 - Took him a while to get into the game, work rate does not improve much even when he gets a chance to impress.

DeVries 5 - Not on long, but did get one good chance with which he was unlucky

Hughes 5 - So glad to see him back, can't wait to see him back to full fitness then Sylla can have a lond rest.

Overall a decent performance, one defensive lapse let us down and the forwards worked hard but unfortunetly could only find the net once for their reward. Crewe came like most teams for a point and I thought they were lucky to go home with the point. Shame but they will struggle to survive even though Dario preaches proper football.

Could it be that this is a more suitable role for Kisnorbo????

Admittedly, he is playing the role that only Lennon has played with any distinction for us in the last few years - maybe McKinlay to a lesser degree also - but he seems to be the sort of player that if you give him a specific job to do i.e. man marking, limited time on the ball (possibly at centre half??)etc then he could become a more influential player for us............?????

I was always perplexed when we let McKinlay go to be honest - I thought he was an excellent player.

Mark Wallington was there as guest - he'd still be a better bet than Douglas now!!

Just read an article on the Bluearmy site by Nev Foulger. Usually I think that reports on there are full of blinkered pro club shite but this one does actually sum up how I feel at the mo.

Boxing day is massive.

A lot of reports on here seem to say how poor we were. If we were that poor how come we had 22 efforts at goal with 12 on target and the man of the match was the Crewe goalie? :102:

Stats can be twisted to say anything, but the eye doesn't lie. Crewe were a poor team that were there for a sound beating. Having said that, I didn't think we were poor....

I think you are missing the point. We should have got three points on saturday.

We weren't poor, it's just frustrating that's all, we're actually playing very well at the moment IMO and the results will come. I'm actually more in support of CL than ever TBH, I think what he's building looks promising.

I have to agree, although I was upset by the result on sat, I think we are only a couple of players away from a side that could get towards the promotion zone. I would stick Williams in for Sylla. We looked more offensive when he came on, even though im not his biggest fan
