just read on sky sports that Fergies'son don't want the job, because of our track record of manager management...figures...F*ck him tho...
... Billy D's the man for me,(Ince wouldn't b a bad runner-up)

I think we'l pick Billy up at the right point in his career..(MON esc) not done anything ever so special yet,but done reasonably well with what he's had...He's also got that little anckle-bitting-f*cker look about him which stands any leicester player/manager/fan in good stead.

Perhaps the only common thread is, we need someone who is up and coming and has won automatic promotion this last season, which kind of limits the number of potential candidates somewhat. We probably need someone who sees Leicester as a stepping stone to greater things but with a bigger club, who has the integrity to stick around here for the next 3 years in order to build solid foundations.

Mandy also needs to stop talking about back to back promotions to the prem. It is highly unlikely to happen, and it means that any new manager is doomed to fail!

didnt we do this last season with Allen

Not quite. MK lost in the playoffs hence Ince winning promotion last season. However, MY OPINION is that, Allen would have done OK, but stood his ground when Mandy wanted to sign Fowler and JFH, subsequently losing his job.

Anyway with Fergie Junior saying he's not interested, Ince likely to do the same, it's likely to be someone who' doesn't fit the above criteria!

I would have thought the only criteria would be any useless **** with a pulse, who is daft enough to accept the challenge and allow the Mad One total control of team affairs.

So Peter Reid it is then :icon_bigg

I don't have EUFA coaching licence, but what good has that shown anyway, but if MM wants to sign me on a 3 year £200k (I'm cheap) deal I'm up for it.

In fact, I'll probably be full of passion, and commitment but won't get the results, so,if MM wants to give me a 100k pay-off up front, it will stop all the fecking around, and save City from relegation to div2 (old 4).

F*ck him?

No, F*ck Mandaric.

If the brightest talents in the games won't even consider LCFC because of the people they would have to work with, those people have to go simple as. This club historically has been a stepping stone for players and managers on the way up, and it's been downhill all the way since we thought that could be changed. Ferguson and Ince are exactly the type of manager we should be looking to recruit, whereas Davies- a proven and abject failure at the top-level is exactly the type we should avoid.

Ferguson's just a prick who's playing up to his own fans

Peterborough's managerial appointment record was every bit as bad as ours when he took the job there

I haven't been offered the Leicester position and I'm pissed off about it. I need to think of a way to make this into a positive.

The average length of time that each manager has received from Mr. Mandaric is three months. It does not take a genius to work out that this is not long enough to turn around a failing club. With MM's latest utterings, that the three year plan is still alive and that he is looking for back to back promotions, I honestly struggle to see why anyone, other than a washed up manager would apply.
If one has no future, a three year contract, work three months and then the big pay off, is attractive. Should one have faith that one is upwardly mobile, there are, or soon will be, better offers around.

But Ferguson hadn't got any previous managerial experience, so he would probably have taken any job.
Why would a successful manager want to come and work here, with our recent record?
We'll probably end up with someone lke Gregory, who can't get a job anwhere else.

I agree

If he had come out and simply said "I wouldn't want it because I'm already in a decent job, with a club that has given me a chance and a shitload of money" I wouldn't have an issue - but the managerial thing is just a load of bollocks

The obvious criteria for a successful manager is his backroom staff, something that we have suffered from for a very long time IMO. The focus is always on the manager, but he needs to have a good coach and assistant.
The manager needs to be the motivator, the one that puts the plan into action, the front man who sells the club and his ideas to the players and the fans.
The first team coach needs to be very knowledgeable and respected. He is the one responsible for training, drilling into the players the managers ideas and plans.
The assistant is the link between the manager and the rest, the one the players look to as one of the lads (not the manager) and reports back to the manager.

Whoever we go for I hope that MM goes for a good management team not just a manager.

I would like the new manager to have massive knockers and enjoy wearing a bikini on match days. I would be prepared to accept a hike in season ticket prices to ensure these criteria were met.

Big Sam in a bikini? Doesn't float my boat...

MM should have 5 in mind now:
Billy Davies
Simon Grayson
John Gregory
Steve Clarke
Surprise Candidate

No Paul Ince? I'd stick John Gregory into the 'Surprise Candidate' slot to be honest, and probably rename it to 'Absolutely shocking candidate'.
