Are we employing incompetents? The list of potential managers is now closed with 22-25 applicants. Does the club not have someone who can count to these dizzy heights and come up with an actual number?

Not only that - but also effectively saying that we've got enough to consider so that's enough please!

Surely that can't be the case if someone of real worth expressed interest.

Is that gap in City speak between Mandaric and Aldridge part of the process - or is Aldridge taking it upon himself to rein in Mandaric?

Most of them were on the old board! MM and his tide of public opinion made them all look so bad that they probably want nothing to do with LCFC ever again.

I mentioned this at the time, that we didn't want to piss off the people that had been supporting us for many years. OK, none of them were willing or able to throw millions at it, and some of them might not have been cut out for it in the long term. But they were at least willing and able to get enough cash together to get us out of the shit when we went into administration, and they also had the foresight to actively seek out investors. They all made substantial losses when MM took control. I still believe they genuinely had the best interests of LCFC at heart.

When I posed the question "what happens the next time we need someone to get us out of the shit now we've pissed off all our 'rich' fans", I was, in as many words, told to shut up and stop being so negative. They were the problem and MM was the saviour.

Where does all that leave us now? It's either MM or scraping around for another outside investor, I suppose.

They certianly were not all on the old board, some people who lost millions prior to the admin didnt get a sniff at that board. There is also various people with wealth who were previously involved at the club like kinch and co, were they not offering funds when MM was bidding?

The last board looked bad before MM even made his interest known, their ambition was to simply stay up never mind think of promotion, they were losing 6-7 million per year after the parachute payments ran out and were not willing to dig into their pockets to absorb it hence the look for a new investor.

MM got the club on the cheap, so did they except they had a better deal as when they got the club it was on the way to the premiership. The real losers were those prior to admin.
