shocking she backed down, she could have been killed if not for the police intervention.

A guess as to why she backed down is perhaps someone gave her a reminder her cushy lifestyle would come to an end if she didnt?

Don't know what you mean here as domestic abuse cases don't need the victim to press charges in order to go ahead.

Or she was fearful of he repercussions if she persisted.

Or, like many domestic abuse victims she feels sorry for him due to undoubted manipulation over time.

Our club chaplin gave him a reference, hardly a member of management but does that give any indication that the club may well keep him?

Depends on the position of the chaplain. I was under the impression that they were visitors to the club rather than directly employed.

Ahh teamtalk....whenever (rarely) I see that name it reminds me of teletext adverts. This then reminds me of Bamber Boozler.

Despite the point being made being shite on that pile of shite I do like being reminded of Bamber

I think it is time that we recognised the positive turnaround that Danny Simpson has made. Not only have his performances been outstanding since he came back into the team in October, but his attitude and application appear to be spot on too. He made a couple of excellent far post challenges yesterday.

He sat out of the team for seven months from March to October due to off field events detailed above and made his first Premier League appearance this season against Norwich. Since then, he's played in sixteen matches with ten wins, five draws and one defeat. The defence has conceded twelve goals in those games too (we conceded fourteen in the seven games without him).

It's clearly down to more than just his influence, but it is clear that he is actually a very good right back.

I think that Danny and Fuchs are possibly the best two fullbacks in the Premier League, as they have been together in all those games I think.

Simpson has been superb ever since he got into the team. Strange how some have been asking for us to get a better right back. If there's a better one anywhere at the moment I'd love to know who it is.
