If you take every single person in the world and line them up in goalkeeping ability, I’m sure Danny Ward is in the top 0.000001%. Right at the bottom may be a 99 year old granny, or a newly born baby.

Iheanacho was shite for 45 minutes. Ward is garbage for life. I get it. That's context.

Ward is an average keeper in an age where there are very few good ones. He did well with Huddersfield in the championship, so might have a shot at a first choice for a lower Prem team.

Decent backup, and I would say compares well to most Premier League back up keepers.

14 low priority games in 3 years seems like a reasonable return on 12 million quid these days, I see no problem keeping him on until he’s at least 31 just to see if he helps us to a League Cup quarter final at some point
