How reliable is Bert? Is he in the offices to see a lot of confidential paperwork? Is he a sign in name used by whoever the current chairman happens to be? Or is he just some div who guesses and / or makes shit up and occasionally gets it sort of half right, ish, and just like a 'psychic' people believe him?
