Never rated Alan Smith meself and someone is bound to bring up Emile's woeful striking record for England. But I stand by what I said, England caps are pretty tough earnt.

Ricketts was i believe the highest scoring Englishman in the premiership at the time, so i think he deserved his chance with England.
