Leicester striker Mark de Vries wants to join his former Hearts boss Craig Levein at Dundee United.
(Daily Record) - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/default.stm

hardly suprising really, but why does every manager insist on signing and playing 1 shit player all the time??
I think if we get a fee for him we will be very lucky considering his situation with us and the fact that Levein only paid £50,000 or so for him to bring him here.

I hope he goes for his sake, if I was him I would never want to see our fans again. We should be ashamed of the way this guy has been treated

Thats what the Leicester public are like though, always been like it and always will. The treatment of MDV and some other players is nothing short of shocking.

Do you not think your over reacting?
From what i seen of MDV play, his performances were nothing short of shocking. I admit i didn't see him week in week out when he was here but seen quite a lot so cannot comment fully but apart from the Spurs game where he was a bit of a menace to their defense, I would say his perfomances were of a similar standard to Trevor Benjamin, but without the look of hunger and desire. Which is why i think he was treated like he was.

Maybe you're right if you consider booing every time he does something wrong, booing as he comes on as a sub, booing when replaced, booing when is name is read out on the team sheet and sighing loudly when a pass goes astray acceptable, then yes, we're over reacting. I don't find these things acceptable.

The amount of individual shouts of abuse I heard aimed at him whilst he was playing was a discgrace.

Yes he was shite, but so are the rest of them

How many goals did he score last season and in how many games?

He was not the best we have had play for us, but then he only cost £50K WTF do you expect for that. I will bet his scoring ratio is better than Fryatts......

I did not realise it was this bad, as I said I didn't see him play all the time particularly when we were really shite as I could not justify spending limited funds on travelling home and watching a load of rubbish!! Probably a time where he came in for most stick as we were all very fustrated due to the apauling performances.

Every player gets abuse from individuals every week all over the country!! If a player does not do something as expected then the fans have a right to voice their opinions, whenever I have been to a football match this has always been the case :102:

I agree 100% with this, but de Vries was victimised. It didn't matter if he did nothing wrong, or if it was somebody elses fault, he still got abuse.

If he had the ball and the others weren't moving for him, it was his fault etc etc etc.

Dunno mate, can't be arsed to find out either but if you are going on about goals scored then Big Trev got about 8 or 9 towards the end of one season and BadBuy scored 12 or so in his first premiership season which on the face seems quite good, so maybe we should of just persisted with those two and MDV and see where that would of got us :102:

His low cost was due to the short time remaining on his contract and I would have Fryatt in the team any day ahead of MDV. Can you honestly say that you would have it the other way round??

Too right, he should of been telling the other players where to move to - the lazy shite bastard :icon_lol::081:

MDV scored 13 Goals in 35 Starts for us....Fryatt has scored 6 Goals in 18 Starts so far.Draw your own conclusions.

There we go, the stats even show that they have pretty much the same scoring record and MDV would have had a lot more substitute appearances one would asume. Combine that withe the fact that Fryatt has only made less than 20 appearances and that he is is still very young and not really been fully fit all season, his scoring record is only going to improve with time.

If anyone still believes that MDV would be a satisfactory replacement for Fryatt then its quite frankly, beyond belief!!

Good luck to the bloke, if he gets there - we should let him go for a free, and I suspect we will. He'd still do OK in that league.

Was a pitifully poor player for us, but we got him for nowt - you pay peanuts and you get monkeys (our board's transfer policy for the past few years)

Took the blame for the whole Levein debacle - but there were many more who deserved equal stick - and the blame really lay at the door of the four eyed Scottish twat himself

Good point about Fryatt, too - don't hear him getting booed by the crowd, despite the fact that he is playing like an absolute useless twonk
