He'll go there and do a job in that league IMO. I actually think MDV was more a Premiership player than Championship, as displayed against Spurs. Somehow players like MDV (lazy but strong and good touch when he wanted) work better in the pace of Prem football than the hectic Championship.

IMO he have been embarassed in the premiership

i think the problem is in the championship defenders are used to playing against MDV type-big blokes who have the ball hoofed to them and try to out muscle the defenders, nearly every team in our league has one. In the premiership however, strikers are more likely to be pacy and giving defenders the run around-so when we played against premiership opposition playing against MDV isn't what they were used to meaning he was more effective

that or couldnt be arsed unless we played against premiership clubs!

I hope he goes for his sake, if I was him I would never want to see our fans again. We should be ashamed of the way this guy has been treated

Totally agree.

I wonder if his goals per game ratio is the best of all the current strikers on the books ?

But it wasn't cool to like MDV where as it is to like Fryatt,Hume and Hammond. The treatment MDV got from sections of our 'fans' was nothing short of disgraceful....never mind though it will be some other poor fecker next.Nobody wants to listen to the goals per game ratio 1966 because he doesn't fit with thier line of thinking

With MDV going and Momo starting to improve I can see Andy Johnson getting some major stick!
