DUNDEE United are set to sign former Hearts striker Mark de Vries. The Dutch forward will be reunited with Craig Levein, who signed the player at Tynecastle then took him to Leicester City when he moved there in 2004.

De Vries, 32, was last night finalising a deal to leave the Walkers Stadium and is expected to complete his move to Tayside within the next 48 hours.

Too true. An average Championship player, it's just a shame that some of our mongie fans think we should only employ world beating strikers.
I think there could also be an element of 'Mark Bright Syndrome' involved as well.

I feel pretty stronngly that the abuse MDV took in the time he was here highlights all that is bad about a certain moronic element of our support, who would have barracked him regardless of his performances.
He looked superb at the start of the season, especially against Watford.
Cheers for the effort MDV and good luck, you always gave 100% and deserved better than the abuse you got.
