Good work if you do, it will be interesting to see the results of what you uncover.

(Perhaps Tim Davies was calling for more cash and that was why he was 'asked' to leave? I'm sure there's a story somewhere it that suprise and very hasty exit...)

Or maybe he was getting out quick, thinking there may be an investigation into our signings so far?

Chief executive Paul Aldridge, below, said the loss for this financial year - which ends on May 31 - would rise because outgoings had increased while turnover was around the same as last year's £14.7m.

Staff wages fell by just under £1m to £10.7m, but made up 72.8 per cent of turnover, compared to 57.2 per cent the previous year.

Someone help me here.

The first paragraph above states that turnover is about the same as last year. The second paragraph states that staff wages are down yet still managed to be a significantly higher percentage of turnover.

If turnover is the same and wages are down, how can wages form a higher percentage of turnover?

I know it's a few years since I studied maths, but something doesn't add up here.

Maybe the wage bills they are talking about are for last year and the year before, but the turnover is for this year and last year.
I'd be very surprised if the wage bill hasn't gone up again for the current financial year.

TBH I could not give a flying fcuk really, I really couldn't.

I don't think you can be expecting to make profits when you're paying ridiculous amounts of money for shit players.

AND on top of that the wages that they're on, and I bet Clemence and Howard in particular are on astronomical wages.

Aye, one of those shit players is only our 2nd top goalscorer in half of a season. :icon_roll

Increase the season ticket prices.........oh :icon_roll

Without wanting to turn this thread into an argument about Howard, for 1.5 million he has been utter cack.

For 50p I'd probably think twice.

He has scored 6 times in 16 games, which isn't a particularly great stat to begin with. Three of those were in one game, that means it's 3 in the other 15.

His goals have made very little difference to us, the hattrick at West Brom was obviously great, but other than that he's done bugger all.

In addition to that he never runs around, most of the time can't be ****ed to jump for headers and is usually completely useless. On top of this he never ever gets substituted, which makes me hate him even more.

Basically hes cost us £250,000 per goal. Wonderful.

Rant over.

.............and Hume?
.............and Fryatt?

.............and Fryatt?

Cost far less and in any case Hume has scored more, and does more for the team.

As for it being 17 a season, fair enough, but if he scores them every other month when we score 4 anyway and in defeats that's of little help.

I could tolerate him if he looked like he gave a **** ever, but he doesn't.

He's lazy and shit and I hate him.

The other thing that really annoys me is that a strikeforce of DJ Campbell and Steve Howard cost nearly £4 million. I'm sorry but that is terrible.

Only because he's been here for a lot longer. :icon_roll

Howard has a better goals to games ratio than Hume. Hume has only scored twice since Howard has been here.

Yes I realise that, but in fairness to Hume he's been playing on the wing. That isn't to excuse his abysmal finishing though.

If you mean outgoings, they've already said outgoings have increased. I would imaging the majority of that increase is due to an increase in wages.

But the percentage of turnover spent on wages has apparently gone down according to the statement :102:
