In December there was a story in the Mercury headlined "We're gonna make up some shit and hope we get away with it, we know **** all but check out how we guess shit"

I really don't know why people believe anything printed in the Muckraker, it is mostly provable bollocks. This applies to the news pages as well as the sports. To be honest David, I wouldn't believe the ****ing miscellaneous ads that they print.
I know you'll probably find it hard to believe, but I'm really not just being obstreperous, the Mercury really is just a big pile of pigshit. Stop buying that bollocks and let them die the death that they deserve

Just made massive redundancies apparently, may be heading that way.

The actual quote from the Mercury is

"I can't train 100-per-cent every day because I was doing that at the start of the season and, by the time the game came, I was tired," said Wellens.
"The manager understands now that it is all about the games and I can't train 100-per-cent every day. On Thursdays and Fridays I ease off a bit for Saturday.
"The manager has given me and Paul Konchesky the last couple of Mondays, and we come back in on Tuesday and I feel great later in the week.
"It is difficult for any player to accept that he is coming to a stage in his career when he can't train flat out all the time.
"If he chooses to do that and I feel better then great.
"I have to keep chatting with the manager to tell him how I am feeling," said Wellens, who admits he is terrified at the thought of retirement from playing.

I distrust and dislike all British newspapers and since the internet have given up buying them.
A local paper needs access and will often censor or play down a negative story. However, I do not believe a local paper will invent a direct quote from a named player; in a phrase from American politics that would be "pissing in the soup".

Wellens is 31 and can't train? I'm 40 and have run over 35 miles this week with no issues, if he's done we should stop paying him. However he has played well the last 2 games.

I'm considerably older and officially mental - I'm eminently qualified for club ownership.
