Going a bit Phil Collins though... Maybe Harry Redknapp? There was still rumblings that all was not well with Gaydamak during the season, and at his age he may want a back seat.
At least we will know who will take over team affairs if MA cocks it all up halfway through the season...

Are you sure he has been appointed as Director of Sport? He's only been a scout at the other clubs you mention. He ahsn't been involved in any of the other roles that the Mockery listed for the job.
