Yeah, your probably right.
But then its an argument that could go round and round. Fryatt has never played in a decent Championship team. Campbell played for the promoted Birmingham team.
The acid test for Fryatt is next year. Personally I think he'll step up to the plate. But only time will tell.

You also have to remember his goals when he first came here were credited with helping us stay up in the fizzy. :icon_wink

DJ a better finisher that Fryatt :081:

Fryatt currently holds the record for fastest ever goal scored by a Leicester player when he scored after 9 seconds in a 2-1 defeat to Preston North End on 15 April 2006.[1] He also holds the record for the quickest ever Walsall goal, also 9 seconds in a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth in the 2004–05 season.[2]

Didn't know that.

Fascinating stuff.....

I think if Fryatt scores after 9 seconds next season just as you are taking your seat you might as well stand up and go home then

I wonder If DJ will change his tune if they get relegated.

Tosser. He is shite playing well at a little club. If they sign him he will be shite as he is.

I would be very surprised if Blackpool can afford a million pounds. My guess is that City will accept a much lower offer or perhaps a part exchange if Blackpool have got a player in Steve Walsh's notebook.

And I would be very surprised indeed if any club paid anything but a nominal fee for DJ.

When we acquired him from Birmingham I thought that he looked to be a sensible acquisition even at the inflated price. In fact it soon emerged that we had been totally ripped off.

Also everyone knows that he doesn't want to play for Leicester and I take for granted that we wouldn't want his miserable presence around next season so from that angle alone we are hardly going to be able to get any serious money for him.

It wouldn't surprise me if it ended with a mutual termination agreement with us paying the amount of his contract that Blackpool can't afford to cover. The idea that we are going to get a 7-figure sum for him is ridiculous.
