and the best thing about it is that Derby are bottom
If I remember correctly, we were top due to a huge amount of fortune and some incredible goalkeeping performances from Tim Flowers.

Remind me, when are the fixtures published?

I'm especially interested in the Derby and Doncaster games. There simply are not enough teams in the Premier League who's names begin with D. Thank feck we weren't promoted.

Hussar for the Championship.

Almost every game on Sky is unbelievably ****ing boring. The concept that the Premiership is some super gloryhole where players spunk brilliant passes and goals all over the place is an utter crock of shit.

You can take your foreign owners, polyester shirts with their bollocks designs, overpriced pies, five hundred pound season tickets, all-seater soulless modern stadiums, over-hyped TV shows, bland TV commentators, passionless players and idiotic stewarding and shove it.

I'm waiting for it all to go tits so that I can have my club and my sport back.

It actually brought tears to my eyes reading this. The most erudite description of the modern game I have ever read.Made me feel desperately f*****g old too!
I'd love a return to the days when relegation didn't mean potential bankruptcy & the inevitable selling of two thirds of the first team.I'd also like to have my childhood dream back. The one where if we made 2 or 3 shrewd signings one summer & had the right manager we could win the title.
A dream that in those days was actually achievable. As was made painfully obvious by having to suffer watching Derby(twice!) & Forest do it.

Do we want premier league football? what a stupid question! the purpose of football is to try to become the best of the best, to do that you need to play amongst the best and beat the best e.g. The Premier League, fans that are just happy with us sat in the 2nd tier of English football for eternity should just not bother supporting us and not be into football full stop, one thing I hate is lack of ambition it puts a bee in my bonnet.

Have you read the opening post you idiot?

I was happy supporting us in the 3rd tier - that is what supporting is about.

One thing I hate is tossers who feel they have a right to dictate what everybody else should do and what everybody else should think.

:icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol: Premiership or Championship? oooooh tough one! £90million a year or £10million a year? oooooh tough one! I dunno what the club would do with all that money! :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol: thank god some of our fans aren't on the board cos we'd soon be in the Blue Square Leagues.

some of you'll be calling for Sven to fix games next :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

The club will be no better off, probably worse off. All that money ( and more ) will be spunked on transfer fees, agents fees and players wages. I'd have thought you would have known that, being such a football expert. The Premier League clubs are in debt to the tune of billions - it is not a licence to print money.

I'll repeat myself, the aim in football is to become the best of the best, that doesn't mean sitting in the Championship for eternity, people that are happy for us just to sit in the Championship for eternity make my stomach turn.

Also, I thought the £90 million was spread out over a few years, not £90 million per year?:102:

If you seriously believe that Leicester City can become the " Best of the Best ", presumably like Manure and Barcelona, I suggest you seek professional help as soon as possible. Or failing that, go back to your present therapist, who, it seems, ain't very good.

Ambition is the preserve of the deluded or insane. Accepting the nature of 'below average' leads to a much more relaxed and comfortable life. It's worked for me with regards career, football and sex.

And that is why Superscout has chucked it up some footballers bird on a night out and you haven't:icon_wink

Who says so? Is it the law?
