Oh well, never mind. I've still got the Shefield Utd match on the sky planner, so I can sit and watch that instead. :icon_cool

Get some cans in and cheer on peterborough to beat cardiff, palace to beat or draw with swansea, scunthorpe to get a point or beat west brom, and can i say covscum to take something , heck all 3 points against nottm forest, barnsely to beat boro, keanes ipswich to beat qpr, preston to beat sheff utd, bristol and watford draw, and newcastle to smash those sheep shaggers haha! That to much to ask!

NP was at the ground when it was called off. The Donny OS is saying that both managers agreed with the ref.

I still can't get my head around the fact that games are being called of at newly built stadiums.

Given our defensive problems, this is no bad thing at all (apart for poor old Bob, of course......:icon_lol:)

Hinckley vs Telford, it is then.

They never had undersoil heating though. Major problem is no one builds the new grounds considering the sunrise and it's position during the day.

Correct, and I know it's an expensive bit of kit to run, but IMO it's a must have item in any new stadium.

I came back to Nottingham last night, and even at 8pm it was 7 degrees. It was cold this morning, but i'm sure they could have done everything possible to get that game on.

Looking at the picture on the Donny OS, the pitch looks like it's been uncovered all night, why couldn't they have had they hot balloon thing on it all night?

Next league game is now Sunday 10th Jan against Ipswich. In 4 weeks, we'd have only played 50% of our league games, because 2 newly built stadiums are not equipped to deal with a bit of frost.

During the 70's & 80's when Filbert St had that heated tent over the pitch, how many home games were postponed due to cold conditions?

I remember times when virtually every other game was off but a Leicester home game would be on. It no doubt cost quite a bit in maintenance but it worked - if I remember correctly.

Bastards! We had just got off the train when a copper told us. In weathspoons now for brekkie. There's a few donny fans in here who just told us the club spent £100k on a cover for the pitch. Bet the fecker has got holes in it.

Gutted for those of you who already travelled up there!

But hopefully it will be good for us considering the injuries, and we had a tough game against Sheff Utd that will probably have taken a lot out of the players.

Just hope having 2 postponed games (and maybe more still to come!) doesn't give us a fixture pileup later in the season. We've only got 1 midweek game in Jan at the moment, so I imagine one of the games will be squeezed in there somewhere?

well sale rugby got a pitch heater in to ensure they can play!if the low budget of guiness prem can do that, why can't a team in the 4th most watched league in europe sort this to prevent the pitch freezing!

SHAMBLES

We stood for 50 minutes waiting for our train as it was delayed, as it was pulling up my mate Steve called to say it had been called off. Back at the flat now complaining my arse off at the state of the art stadiums not coping with a bit of cold but the likes of Scunthorpe still have games.....3 games in 2 days a bit much for the little queers? Not covering the pitch in these conditions is a ****ing disgrace

May pop to Sports Direct Arena or whatever its called to watch Toon hammer the sheep
