I don't see how they can say it's in real doubt when it's well over 24 hours before the actual game starts. Surely the snow is a lot lighter at the moment than it was over the Christmas period?

The snow we had yesterday was the most we'd had over the xmas/new year period. It melted away pretty much by mid afternoon, but I do know that slightly north of us had some more.

It doesn't help with the fact they built a brand new stadium and didn't install under soil heating.

The other concern these days, isn't actually the pitch, it's the safety around the ground and approach roads. They have to be certain the fans will all get home in one piece.

I'll have 72-0. Got a pony on it...coming in at 72,000,000 to 1.

Also, got Gary Coatsworth down as first scorer. Oddly, only 6-1 odds on that though.

Speaking of Coatsworth, remember that Luton volley? One of my last games in England that, had a great view from the double decker.

just had someone from a local Donny radio station on the moan in who said there is no doubt about the game

Talking of Wellens he hopefully will not be as stupid as he was against Newcastle, But he will be against his old club and no doubt they will wind him up.
Here are the officials below who will be on duty tomorrow nite and hopefully it will go ahead. There has been no new snow so far up here but its bleeding freezing so hope that if they did clear the pitch today it doesnt freeze all day tomorrow

DRFC Doncaster Rovers v Leicester Match Officials
Mr Andy Woolmer will be the man in charge when Doncaster Rovers welcome Leicester City to The Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday night.

So far this season the Northamptonshire official has refereed 20 games showing 53 yellow cards and 1 red.

Last season he took charge of 40 games showing 98 yellow cards and 6 reds.

The last time he took charge of a Rovers game was last season when the side won 2-1 at Southampton, on that occasion he showed 5 yellow cards.

The last time he was in charge of a Leicester game was also last season when they drew 2-2 at home with Walsall, he showed just the one yellow card in that game.

Referee: Mr K.A Woolmer (Northamptonshire)
Assistants: D.K Benton & P.R Marsden
Fourth official: D.J.H England

From this on one of their Fans Forums seems to indicate the game will go ahead unless another snowfall happens tomorrow
Just got back from the stadium...
...and as it stands, the pitch is perfectly playable and in a state that is far better than what it was at this time last season!!! It's had plenty of water, there's not a patch of frost in sight and it really looks like it will play well tomorrow. Conditions around the stadium are relatively decent as well and every effort is being made to get the game on.

Around 30 people in total were helping clear snow at various points during the morning and afternoon and the pitch was cleared from snow at about 3.00pm.

Fingers crossed! A good night's weather tonight and we'll be fine!

i think snow is forecasted for early evening and expected to continue into the night - but then we know how good the weather people are in predicting the weather

On their forum:
Just rang customer services and there is no inspection planned and there is no doubts about the pitch whatsoever. And the threat of snow is not a reason to postpone a game. The fact it would not have frozen overnight means it shouldn't be a problem. I hope the council have had the sense to grit all the walkways in a mile radius or them poor bleeders last out will be doing balero on the compacted snow to their cars!

Here.

Looking good.

But then again. :102:

It'll go ahead.

Kermit will give us the lead.

We'll lose 2-1.

There's a cheery prediction for you!

Would be very happy to take 3 points from the next two games.
