i think its a more realistic view that as for the past few years we've been utter pants and wont attract any decent players until we start making progress. players trying would be a start, and perhaps from that we might attract better players. cant imagine that players such as saganowski would see leicester (who were shite last season) as a better option than southampton (who could have got promotion)

You may be right.

I think that many of us hoped that Milan would bring in a better class of free - and get a few levels above where you think we are.

At the moment we have signed plenty of players but with 1 or 2 exceptions they are nothing to create any real enthusiasm.

I always thought you were a fairly intelligent guy Matt. I presume you can see all of the posts that you are referring to, I take it that you have read them and studied them.

I'm just very curious as to what you've seen in those posts that make you actually disbelieve what it is you are reading. I too was very suprised that nobody picked up on the grammatical error, but no way am I struggling to comprehend it, or indeed question that I may be wrong.

Please explain why you can't actually believe it, and maybe we can help explain it.

I Personally think we have seen the best of our signings, and i don't think its the end of the world. I Think the plan for this season is to establish the basis of a squad in this league.

I think MM talking about Saggy was media spin, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance, but the fans think he is trying.

The likes of N'Gotty and Kishishev are here to help the younger players progress for a season or two.

Talk of top six is to get the fans onside, and also to push the players. if he said mid-table the players would loose motivation i think. i don't think he expects it this year.

We need numbers in the squad, and i think a lot will happen once contracts expire. Also it wouldn't surprise me if some of the players transfer listed stay. I Think MA has tried to kick them up the ass, and is hoping when they see the standard of clubs interested in them, that they will return to the club with a bit more fight for there place here. The likes of Hughes still have a carreer ahead of them to play for. Douglas i assume is excluded since he is clearly replaced already.

I See no reason why we shouldn't get mid-table and then invest in quality players next summer to add to an established squad.
