If you ignore the players that are on the transfer list (assume they'll be released if not sold), then the current squad looks like this:

GKs: Nielsen, Henderson and Logan
RB: Kenton and Stearman
CB: Kisnorbo, McCauley and N'Gotty
LB: Mattock

RM:
CM: Wesolowski
LM: Porter

ST: Fryatt, Hume, Cort, Sappleton

I'd say we need at least:
1 more CB
1 more LB
2 right wingers (or 1 right winger and another who can play left or right)
3 CMs
1 left winger
1 striker

Okay so that's another 9, but on top of what we've got that's still more than 10..

July, rather than being holiday season, will need to see at least another 7 or 8 players in
unless we have a new 5-0-5 formation that Allen is silently perfecting.
By-passing conventional ideas of having any midfielders, full backs or wingers.
Maybe we could make the Walkers pitch only 15 feet wide, so that our 5 centre backs can punt it to our 5 centre forwards??

Calm down mate. The real signings dont begin to July 1 - for starters N'Gotty and Nielsen aren't our players till then.

Agree.....

The early post of 'we have too many midfield players' is bizarre.
We don't have a midfield !! all positions need filling with back-up, Wes and Porter if they play and perform well all season will be a big bonus, they can't be considered as first choice based on the way they faded last season... although that was under super coach Kelly
