Edgar Davids on his way?

Unless Davids is flying over to arrive tomorrow morning I reckon it is more or less off unless he sends an authentic email or fax that states his intentions are positive and that he would be over to sign once his present situation in Holland is sorted.

But if it's just a way of him trying to find another club then I say sod off

I reckon the longer it goes, the more likely it is to happen. If he'd had a better offer - which I assume is what he's looking for - he'd have been off by now.

I think that it's extremely unlikely that Davids is minded to re-locate and train with and play for Leicester City. I would also assume that Pearson has too much sense to go with any possible notion about a quarter fit Davids flying in on Friday night to play on Saturdays or whatever.

The impression is that from time to time he and his agent half-heartedly explore options to kick start his former career as a footballer. These dabbles seem to come to nothing.

If he or his agent circularised Leicester (along with many other clubs) this would chime with Milan's ambitions to land a 'name' player and thereby kick off this hyped up episode.

I suppose that it's fairly harmless stuff and keeps a bit of extra media attention on the club.

If - and its extremely unlikely - that there was some sort of short term pay-as-you-play deal, I think that it would stand up for weeks rather than months.

I rather think it unlikely anyone on here knows anything about it whatsoever, so, let's carry on making this forum a total piece of bum twottle.

You know you've said the same thing 6 times in various forms in this thread? I think people now get where you stand on this.

I think you're just about spot on with that, setting our sights high with trying to obtain Davids hasn't done us any harm as far as I can see.

We have been had by his agent. Never any intention of coming to the club but was a great way of using us to alert other clubs to his availability!

****s

Yeah, because loads of other clubs have been linked with since we've been in for him :icon_conf

Stringer on twitter;

"I don't see there being any news on Edgar Davids today given the press conference had ALL Foxes backroom staff there for a LOROS event."

Looks to me like Davids is using Leicester to find a bigger club.

Old news. This press conference was yesterday.

QPR must be shitting themselves not knowing if he starts Friday.

Great PR work by the club IMO....

The story today, that we have asked for an answer by the weekend, is much better than yesterday's 24 hour ultimatum.
I apologise to Mr. Mandaric for believing a press report and posting a negative comment. This seems to be a sensible approach and leaves Edgar Davids to decide as to whether his career will reach a pinnacle with LCFC, or fade to an ignominious end.
