Certainly this should be stamped out immediately before it starts to regain a hold on the game but from what I've seen it is small fry stuff. I hear them claiming it's 70's 80's revisited - all I can say is they never went to football at that time. This is a few kids talking big.

I also agree with the Chelsea fan above that films have made out that West Ham were really "hard" but I don't remember being any more worried about West Ham than the majority of other teams. Chelsea were the worst of the hooligan scum in my opinion.

The time has arrived for West Ham to be forced to play games behind closed doors, stupid little chavvy wankers wont be so proud then.

If West Ham United FC were a person they'd be a regular guest on Jeremy Kyle.

Proper chavvy dole scum!

The one and only time I ever got beaten up at a football match was by West Ham 'fans'.

Really?

They never seemed a big deal at Filbert Street (to me) and Away games were only a bummer (for me) as we never won against West Ham (or many London teams for that matter) I used to drive there and park in the vicinity of the ground which meant breaking away from the Leicester contingent heading to the station or the buses and returning to the car through their fans without any problems. They were as meek as QPR supporters (at least to me).

I was lucky enough never to get hurt at a game but I saw many who were and I ran a fair few times just in case.

What is up with the background music? Is it intended to artificially stretch my attention span to the full 58 seconds the video lasted or was it just generally thought to go well with a news piece on a child being hit by coins?

Sorry - I don't do quizzes.

Yes, really.

It was a home game too, and evening game. It was I suppose partly my stupidity as I had left the group I was with and decided to take a short cut through the streets near the prison rather than walk across what is now Mandela Park with the crowds. Silly move I know but five of them jumped me, gave me a kicking and pinched my scarf. I'll never forget the weakest looking one still kicking me while I was curled up in a ball in the gutter and his fellow thugs were walking away and calling him off. I bet he was bullied at school.

Anyway, that episode tended to sour my thoughts about West Ham 'fans' and, for my feelings towards the Nottinghamshire Constabulary who were lending attendance that evening and who didn't want to know when I staggered up to a couple of them when I made my way back to the 'proper' way back to town.
