Not sure I like that lineup. Still leaves Gerrard stranded out on the left and unable to influence the game so much.

If he wants to stick with 4-4-2, I'd put Joe Cole in on the left, move Gerrard to the right where he is at least a bit more accustomed to playing.
BBC showed after the Algeria game just how exposed our left side was with Gerrard there, with so much space left behind him and him having to make massive runs to track back when we lost the ball.

Think it's a mistake to leave him there

I was at Glastonbury during the 1986 world cup. I saw some of the England v Argentina match on a small TV from about 30 feet away. I didn't see the first Argentina goal but I believe it was quite controversial...
