When Mandaric appointed Megson my enthusiasm for our great club diminished to a dangerously low level. When Megson left it grew slightly but results and reviews of the matches meant it slipped back down to critical levels again.

Now Mandaric appoints Holloway and suddenly my enthusiasm is back up to boiling point. It seems funny because to be honest I'm not Holloway's biggest fan - always thought he was a bit of an dickhead. Maybe the enthusiasm is back because because I've got used to such utter shite over the past few years that any chance is seen as an improvement. Maybe it's because Holloway seems to have a bit of va-va-voom about him and might kick our squad up the arse and gouge out some decent performances.

Either way, the enthusiasm is back and I'm looking forward to seeing how we get on tomorrow and on Monday.

A fresh start - here's to Ian Holloway. Good luck mate.

My enthusiasm will return in two months when the clown as proven that you can actually be a clown and a decent football Manager.

Good stuff Joe :038:

well said JF - I along with a majority of the fan base just wants us to be successful. I live in the north east and if you think we have it bad you should try listening to the geordies, mackems and smogies at least in recent times we have won trophies. Jury will obviously be out on Holloway but now is the time to back him and the team - lets face it O'Neill was no great shakes before he came - up the city

I am not expecting much from the first couple of games. Unless Taggs has got a truthful thick file on the players and DVD evidence, it is going to take a liitle while for Ollie to find out who is swinging the lead and can't be arsed, and who is actually capable of passing a ball to a team player. Shooting on target is an advanced skill he will probably get round to in the second week!

At least he has recent experience of this division. I am optimistic.

I bet you're all calling for his head by Boxing Day.......

.
Holloway Out!!!

We still haven't won a game with him in charge.

Yes, well done JF a great thread: as you say, enthusiasm restored. Good luck to Ollie and well done to Milan too!

And he talks like a feckin' country bumpkin yokel

It's certainly like no accent that I have heard on the streets of Leicester

The opimist in me hopes that we won't have to suffer any more "who-will-be-manager" threads this season.

The realist in me thinks it will happen in the summer.

The optometrist in me would like to remind you all to have your eyes checked once every two years and the surrealist in me fish.

Megson’s appointment did not inspire me, whereas this time I do feel it is a step in the right direction, how big a step only time will tell

I can't understand why people keep saying this. I was already very impressed with O'Neill's achievements with Wycombe, well before he came to Leicester.
