Yeah, I saw a lot of this talk on Twitter last night, but not sure what real world impact it would have. Although I only saw they had pulled out of the ECA - which I wasn't previously aware of.

You know, on reflection , taking into account that I've been a football fan for 46 years & that I'm in shit health & probably have no real professional future since Covid took my job, if I can watch my long suffering team win the PL & the FA Cup in the space of 5 years, I may not actually give a flying **** what these pointless arseholes do.

Why should I actually care anymore? **** them, let them have their crappy little circus. It's not like the game bears any resemblance to the one I fell in love with as a kid anyway & hasn't done for some time.

In fact, maybe it'll result in MY club being remembered as the last one to achieve anything truly worthwhile before the game finally died. That'd suit an old sporting romantic like me very nicely thanks.

I've also decided that it's a bit ****ing rich of all these ex pros whose careers coincided with the creation of the PL that shafted 100 years of continuity & ushered in an era of elite club dominance to be bleating about integrity & tradition now.
