Vardy's pace will wane however he will still be quicker than most, Gray is a long way off and consistently fails to deliver with crosses which in turn makes Slimanni a spare part. Sides do defend deep but still come unstuck that has been proven since Shakey has taken control of the reigns, I remember when Kane was with us and I have to say he was uninspiring, probably down to the formation we were playing. With regards to England Vardy has performed well and most importantly it what he does off the ball!

Or maybe it's that Kane was 13 years old when he played for us - a bit like Gray now.

His job is to score goals. Whether he "looks good" is irrelevant if he keeps scoring.

So we were right to critisize and suggest he should be dropped through the first 30 games this season.

Bloody hell!!!!!! Selling one of the world's best players!!!!!!!! It's the tactical modifications that are shit OMFG!!!!!!!

You're an idiot.

You're the one who'd sell our best ever player but not Vardy.

He's not our best ever player this season, is he?

Frank Worthington was our best ever player once upon a time. But I wouldn't have him back in the team.

The whole team could have been dropped. The strikers weren't scoring, the defenders weren't defending, the midfielders weren't helping the defence or creating chances. But when other players were given a chance they were even worse.

Some weren't given a chance and some were better. How can you be worse than a striker who doesn't score according to your argument that a striker's job is to score and that's all that matters?

I didn't say that's all that matters. A striker can play well without scoring. A striker needs service, if he's not getting any service he won't score many goals no matter how well he plays.

Who do you think was better in Vardy's role? Musa?

Slimani is the best attacker we have. I was reading today how Diego Simeone changes his formation dependant on who Atletico are playing and how he wants them to play. It seems that Griezmann and Benzema not only can change their "role" with the formation but also thrive on it. One of our problems with playing Vardy is that he can only play in one formation in one way - apparently. That may be fine against the shite we've played in the last few weeks - home games against Sunderlan, Stoke and Hull and an away game against West Ham but as Claudio said on Monday to stay at the top you've got to be able to adapt your game against the better opposition.

He's my favourite Leicester player ever but he was never top 15 in the world. Last season Mahrez was.

Slimani still has a lot to prove IMO and is not the best striker at this club Vardy is

When playing with confidence Vardy's finishing is up there with the best in this league.

Mahrez needs to leave, I couldn't give a shit if he gave birth to baby Jesus on the penalty spot, he doesn't want to be here and his body language is enough to make me want to scream.

Agreed. He was last season.

Do you mean exactly like the 'one formation, one way' we played last year when we won the title using a consistent starting eleven and persistent high pressing, counter attacking style pretty much week in, week out? The 'one formation, one way' we played to allow our best striker to fire in 24 goals and complete a record scoring run? Why don't you think before you post?

As for your insistance that Slimani is 'the best striker at the club', well, you are entitled to your opinion. I mean, it's ludicrous and clearly unfounded but you are of course entitled to it. It's evident to most clear thinking individuals that, although this could be the case in the future (although I doubt it, personally) it is certainly not the case at present.
