Everton Deducted 10 Points for Breaking FFP

Burnley? Did Burnley go down then?

Whoever, I honestly don't see the rationale for three clubs to sue them; they would have taken *one* relegation place and therefore only *one* club was disadvantaged by their misdemeanours.

Burnley were relegated the season before - when Everton broke the FFP rules.
And it's not just relegation that cost clubs money. The clubs Everton unfairly finished above received less prize money as a result.

This will have a long term negative effect on Everton, similar to when we went into administration 20 years ago. The financial scrutiny they are now under will prohibit them going near the FFP line again, seriously wrecking their ambitions to spend big and put players on big wages. They might survive this season but this will come back to haunt them in future seasons.

As for Man City & Chelsea, their cases are different but the penalties could actually be even more severe. What is good is the PL is managing it's own rules - an FFP breach has been coming for years and their will be more of it, as we've seen in the EFL.

Everton have only got 1 FFP charge against them. Man City have got 115 charges against them.

It's probably quicker to deal with 1 than it is 115.

But I look forward to Man City's 1,150 point deduction in the 2134/35 season.
In the year 2134, the competition will be played in the Etihad air bubble beneath the extended Irish Sea. The 2134/5 season sees the introduction of the 1000 points for a win rule, too.

If Everton had their points deducted last season, we would not have been relegated, however we probably wouldn't have Enza and wouldn't be enjoying celebrating wins as we currently are.
Also, we probably would still have Bodgers!

Well, not currently, but I see your point.

If our books add up this year, then you be certain that we're every bit as bent as Everton or the rest.
Or, there are people at the club who know more about their own income and expenditure than you do.

Just a thought.

This is the best season they could get this. There's enough shit in the division this year and they're slightly better than they have been over the last couple of years. I still think they'll stay up.

Having said that, they'll probably appeal and it'll be reduced or removed anyway.
Got something right, for once.

It’s almost like the Premier League are just making it all up as they go along and don’t really know what they’re doing, isn’t it……..

How many have Man City been deducted now?

It was always going to be reduced. With Everton being as shit as they are and in relegation danger, the last thing the spineless ****s who make the decision want is for them to go down and there to be blame on them.
