Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Ben Mee joins Burnley on a permanent transfer after being on loan.

Meanwhile, Mark McGhee has been appointed as the new boss at Bristol Rovers.

I think McGhee is a Daydream Believer if he thinks a job at Bristol Rovers will help him back into the big time.

Last time I saw him interviewed he didn't seem bothered about getting a big job, just wanted to get back into management because he was bored with no work, that's probably for the best.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Jonny Hayes just booked for fighting with his own team mate Richie Foran for Inverness Caley.

Possibly another reason why Sven joined our Thai overlords:

You know when you have a certain idea about someone, and then you discover something that exactly backs up your previous prejudices? It's quite nice sometimes, isn't it?

Well, with that in mind, sit back and enjoy the following quote from Sven Goran Eriksson, as told by Didi Hamann about a pre-season trip to Thailand, in an extract from his autobiography:

"You know Kaiser, I like this place. I think I will manage for another five years and come back here and live with two women. Yes. I think I need two beautiful women."

Glorious.

According to SSN, LA Galaxy are in talks with Leeds with a view to getting Alex Bruce.

Seriously doubt they'd use the "designated player" tag on him...Beckham, Keane and Donovan already have the 3.

Unless he wouldn't be tagged...in which case he'd be making peanuts relative to a championship player.
