Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Kevin Ellison scored a hattrick as Morecambe won 3-1. Why did we get rid??? Should have factored that we needed him once Nuge got crocked.
Guy Branston got one for Brizzle R

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Seems like Gradel is popping up on Liverpool's radar ...

Liverpool lining up shock deal for former Leeds winger

Liverpool could make a surprise January swoop for former Leeds United star Max Gradel.

Gradel, who now plays for Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne, came through the ranks at Leicester City but established himself at Leeds, whom he signed for following a successful loan spell.

The Ivory Coast international's displays at Elland Road lead to him being named the Fans' and Players' Player of the Year for 2011, and he earned himself a move to his current club in August of that year.

Gradel hit the ground running in France and has been scouted extensively by Liverpool, but Ukrainian heavyweights Shakhtar Donetsk are also keeping tabs on the winger.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is desperate to strengthen his attacking options and the 24-year-old, who can play as a winger and as a striker, fits the bill perfectly

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Oh dear. You meant to write that in upper-case letters but it was autocorrected to lower case. What a fiasco.

You just have to plan ahead

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Not an ex-player but not worthy a new thread so I put it here:

Sven could become the new coach of the Ukraine national team.

Take it with a pinch of salt. Since leaving City, he's been linked with jobs at ten different national teams, several clubs of varying stature, a chip shop in Hinckley, a property developer in Leeds, and a plant hire company in Sittingbourne.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Quality piece of keeping by Rab Douglas as Dundee U take the lead in the Dundee derby. Well up to the standards of his days with us, falling over his own man as a header slowly bounces over the line. The throwing down of the baseball cap in disgust ended the move perfectly.

Billy Kee got the winner for Burton

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Jamie Lawrence was wheeled out at half-time during the Bradford/Arsenal match on Tuesday. Didn't see what colour he's doing his hair these days as I was queueing for the gents' (not for a pie/pint, honest)

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Just watching Bordeaux vs St Ettienne on ESPN. Snorefest of a game in which Maxi Gradel keeps throwing a mardy at the ref.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Moussa just scored for Cov.
