Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

I would award a goal for offences where a goal has definitely been prevented. Handball on the goal line for example.

in rugby you have penalty tries awarded for similar stuff

football seems to have taken the lead in playing advantage from rugby

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Jonathan Hayes scored for Inverness

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Guy Branston (remember him!) got sent off for Burton
Must be a contender for player sent off playing for the most different clubs!

Guardian's online coverage of dirty leeds v scousers....

64 mins: Kisnorbo has been outstanding tonight and he's jsut made another crucial intervention, sliding in to tip the ball off Ngog's foot after a good through-ball from Spearing.

I watched him last night and he was quality, not saying we should have kept him or anything though, I think Brown, Hobbs and Tunch are better than him.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Interesting read, brings back the memories of Barnsley away.
Went up on my motorbike with Brother in law.
Tommy English got slated by the City fans, until he scored a cracker then it was "English for England".

On the way home it started snowing, by the time we got to the Motorway, it was a full blizzard.
Stopped at first services, dried out as much as we could, got a couple of carrier bags for Bro in law to put over his feet.
South of Notts, no snow, lovely sunshine.
Told our mrs' reason for being late, snow, and they didn't believe us!
Oh the memories.....:icon_lol:

'We looked like a woman wearing a fur coat and no knickers'.

What's he on about?! Poor old MA trying to be something he's not, i.e the next Holloway.

Infinitely funnier than anything Holloway has ever said, and makes a lot more sense.
