Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

I see McAuley got an og last night, Keane can't last much longer there surely.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Zsolt Laczko has just come on for Debrecen against Liverpool, making his debut.

Nice to hear a mention of Leicester City on the Champions League coverage :icon_lol:

Ipswich boss Roy Keane has told defenders Gareth McAuley, who has been stripped of the captaincy, and Ben Thatcher that they have no future with the club.

It's amazing how many times we are mentioned on TV in games that we have nothing to do with.

Although I did think it was unnecessary to mention he played for us in our "relegation" season :icon_cry:

I think the sending off the other night didnt help matters.

Some on the BBC reckon it was decided before that game and him taking a red card to stop their player scoring was his way of saying bye. Deluded.

That is very deluded.

To be fair to him I thought it was a good decision to get the red card. The other player was clean through with only the keeper to beat.

By fouling him he only gave away a free kick and Ipswich managed to hold out for a point.

I remember a couple of years ago when Gary Breen (Sunderland) was chasing Darren Huckerby (Norwich) who was clean through and on the edge of the box. Rather than go for the ball he just booted Huckerby. He got send off but Sunderland went on to win 1-0. :icon_lol:
