Having finally had the opportunity to have a look at our figures, there are some things worthy of note.

1. Our wage bill last season was pretty much the same as the previous season (£26.8m v £26.9m). This contradicts several people that made a recurring point that NP was diligently reducing the inflated wage bill established by SGE. This is despite the release/sale of many players deemed to be high earners and poor performers. Our wage bill didn't rise under NP, but it didn't reduce either.

2. Bonus payments for promotion amounted to £9.4m. That's an extraordinary amount, equivalent to almost half a million pounds each to nineteen people. The impact of this money, plus the fat new contracts handed out like confetti immediately after promotion have made fortunes for a lot of players and staff. Many of whom have subsequently performed like the hard work has now been done and there is little or no incentive to raise their game again.

3. We appear to have created huge new income streams out of nowhere. The rise in income from £5m the previous season to £16m last season is absurd. It stinks even more when you realise that the company responsible for this remarkable improvement in our marketing is none other than Trestellar. A company with very little purpose or identity, aside from creating money for Leicester City out of nothing. In fact, one Sir Dave Richards appears to be a director of said company (remember him). If the FL are incapable of seeing through this charade, they are utterly incompetent.

4. This takes our operating loss over the last three seasons (almost all under NP) to £84.5m. That is effectively what it cost him to deliver promotion.

5. We're reporting a cut in operating costs of £8m (from £20.3m to £12.3m). This is astonishing and totally unrealistic. I'm sure many successful businesses would love to know how that was accomplished without anyone noticing. Again, if the FL swallow this, they're idiots.

6. Finally, it is worth highlighting the fact that our recently wiped out debt is now back. We now owe the owners around £27m.
