Or Maybe its something to do with that MM's deal is not the best, if it were all to go wrong the club will explode. To me and I don't have any interest at all in finance, the deal is awful but we're desperate.

whats the deal then Hazza?

a consortium headed by Teachers, but with no football background, but stacks of money...... Oh and they already own the ground

I am not aware of any Teachers interest, as far as I understand it the only relatively serious options are current shareholders.

Which I think most would be happy with... question is why has it taken so long for them to get off their backsides and do anything about it?

well they can feck off now, why the feck didnt they sort something out before now then, unless they were hoping things got so bad they could then pick the club up for a song. This proves the shareholders have their pockets at heart...... wankers

How can they pick up the club for a song, they already own it? I think what they were talking about was a rights issue, of course nobody knows what investment that might generate.

no most wont be happy with it

I am sure that if some of them had actually bothered to try and help the club with some of their wealth at a much earlier time to take a lead in the club (Wilson etc), we wouldn't have minded. If it meant one person at the helm, money into the team and a chance for success, I don't give a care who is in charge.

One person at the helm of the club can hire and fire (TNBD etc) who the hell they like. I just want decent football and an enjoyable Saturday afternoon.

Not as a new company though.

Why have they not done this before then, the club might have been financially stronger, further up the league with better players.

Unlike any other bidder, of course;)

But why wait until now......? :102: :102: :102:

And that is the biggest problem all in all. Why does it take MM to come in for them all of a sudden want to have other options open via current board members. You snooze, you lose.... as we have proved on the field all too often.

What I was saying is that in waiting it has most probably put the club back a few years. If money was not an issue they should have done it ages ago.
Any investor will look for a return, and there is nothing wrong with that, but these shareholders paint themselves a halo as if they are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. Well they aint... and slowly they are being found out

Would be surprised if Teachers would be interested - given the nature of their business I would doubt that investing in something as unpredictable as a football club (as opposed to providing a fixed loan secured on its assets) would fall within the scope of their investment mix.

It is the state we are in that it is a chore for so many fans now to actually go to the game as the fare we are served has been so dire for so long that apathy has long set in. But the club continue to shell out the 'Tra-la-la' all is well in the world nonsense and expect us to eat it up. The official site is a joke... why do we need to know that they will be going all out for victory or that they will be trying their hardest to turn things around etc... It should be the minimum. If they have feck all to say, why bother saying it?

But the new company would still have the liabilities of the old company, so how could it be stronger? Unless you are talking about going into admin again.

Well I don't know the in's and out's but it seems MM is going to loan the money to us rather than pumping the money straight into the club. He seems to want to be heralded as the saviour of the club and the chairman but doesnt want to take the burden on his shoulders. So if it all goes tits up, MM doesnt go down instead its 'bye, bye' to LCFC.

a. How do you know it wasn't?

b. Do they? This thread is getting just like the earlier ones - people put forward speculation and others then knock down the straw man.

I have no axe to grind either way regarding the current shareholders (who I would assume to be a fairly disparate group with a whole range of circumstances, views, motivations etc), but as several people have said, we don't know nothing.

And that's all detailed in the bid, then, is it ?

Blimey

Unless they are aiming for admin and buying at the very last second.

If they are not bringing anything new to the club whats the point, and so IMO they can all go a feck themselves. They all seem to be playing little games.
