but there still should be back up plans even if they carnt approach other parties IMO

The only back-up plan can be to continue what they were doing if MM walks away. I can't see what else they could have done. The board were doing what the vast majority of fans wanted by getting into bed with MM - those same fans are trying to have it both ways if they want to moan about the terms and conditions that came with that, I am afraid.

he was a non exec director, nothing to worry about IMO. Could be a million reasons he walked away

He resigned because he thinks, and is advised (along with other on the board), that the deal is poor, and in any other line of business would laughed at.

Can other Parties not make their interest known without talking to the Club?

What parties are these ?

Is this yet another feckin' Inner Circle do that I'm not invited to ?

Elitist cliquey Bastards

Its because he was only going to get a fraction of his investment back, something like 40p in the pound....:icon_wink

Maybe it was something to do with an early settlement penalty payment to teachers to pay off the stadium and he reduced the payback accordingly......:icon_wink

Or Maybe its something to do with that MM's deal is not the best, if it were all to go wrong the club will explode. To me and I don't have any interest at all in finance, the deal is awful but we're desperate.

As far as I understand others are interested, wether this interest is strong I am not sure, and further talks will take place if a deal with MM cannot be agreed.

I sent TNBD an email offering some magic beans but he never replied.
He's not as stupid as he seems.

He can't answer due to the clause from MM, but he may be in touch if it falls through! You can imagine it now...

'welcome to plan B guys. All I have to do is battle some Giant fella and we have an inexhaustable supply of golden eggs.'

Erm, long term supporter, still has his season ticket in the East Stand, partner in the largest law firm in the world, helped us out of admin by doing all legal work to square Teacher's unpaid - I would be very worried.

I think we should be in full reciept of the facts before we start jumping to conclusions on whether we should be worried or not, there is enough rumour, speculation and conjecture at present.

So until we know the full details surrounding his resignation I don't think anybody can comment on whether it is worrying or not.

The one and only point within this entire thread which is entirely factual and substantiated

Apart from BG's point about me and the Inner Circle, obviously...
