The Fryatt story is becoming more interesting imo.
A player thats been criticized by many on here over a period of time. So much so that if he'd had an average start to the season then surely the city faithful would have wanted him out. Some have said that his goals have papered over the cracks, but can you ignore his goal tally now ?
Like him or not he has scored 16 goals and we are not even at halfway yet.
So if a bigger fish comes along in January what should we do?
Should we cash in if there was a good offer in order to improve the squad ?
Or as he become too vital for the cause, and we should do what we can to keep him ?

There is the part of me that watches him and says "his goals papers over the cracks" However the devils advocate says well Paul Merson saw enough in him to give him his chance! I do feel that if the lad had any sort of turn of pace, whether over 5 yards or 25 yards he would be different class, and although pace isn't everything, it's a big assest in todays game, especially at this level!

To be fair, he could quite easily have been as pissed as a newt.

At the minute his goals are very important, he is a key player and is possibly the man that his keeping us at the top.

But he isn't indisposable, and I'm sure most competent strikers would have put away the chances he has, if not more. I don't recall many of his goals that have been pieces of individual magic that have elevated him to superior striker status.

At the minute he is the first name on my team sheet, but he is replaceable, but not by any of our current players.

Will always score goals in League 1, but will always struggle in the Championship and above.

There's been a bit more to his game this season than scoring goals. Look at the Scunny goals. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see a few Championship clubs offer him a deal.

The only time he's ever been in the Championship with confidence, he looked the part.

There's a part of me thinks he is performing at this level due to his needing a new contract either with us or elsewhere.

Having said that, fair play to the lad he is scoring well at this level and that's what we need this season. I actually think it would be a massive loss should he leave in January, unless we replace well. I agree with Melts, I don't think there is anyone who could replace him within our squad.

:045: Cock on, Melty babes.

I can tell you he is going in January to Wolves. It's a done deal.

I'm not so sure he was ever fully fit last season and I think playing Howard alongside him as helped.I wouldn't want him to leave I think anything that disrupts the side is a bad thing.

Wasn't it a done deal last season aswell?

I dont know beights but this came from his Mum who I was talking to last night. She says he's not keen on being here, in part due to the stick he's been getting (which has also upset her) and Wolves moves him closer to his home.

Any mention of a fee?

Woves have Keogh, Ebanks-Blake, Vokes and Iwelumo. Why would they want Fryatt?

I am not saying he isnt going, but I doubt it will be to Wolves.

What's his mam's name?

I don't know Hazz I have never met her before and wasn't introduced to her. I was invited to the game last night by a friend who get's VIP tickets and he goes to every game and knows all of the players families. He was talking to her and Fryatt's sister as he does every week and the conversation between all of us was his future here. She said that he had met with Wolves and it was all but signed. She said she was happy about it and so was he as he doesn't really get on at Leicester and specifically mentioned that she had been upset by some of the things that had been shouted at him. I didn't really quiz her myself as I would feel a bit awkward doing that, I spoke to her mainly about the game last night so I don't know if there is any transfer fee involved.
