Too true. I admire your dedication with a trip to Sunderland. We're not going for various reasons, but we will be at Huddersfield to see the mighty Yeovil with an ear out for the phone ringing with news of City goals.

Save your battery...

Well, I was trying to be positive/optimistic, but I think you may be right. I'm worried how we will cope with all the elements that will come into play on Saturday especially the Keane factor. :icon_cry:

I was only joking:icon_wink You never know what might happen,Theres always Elvis to unleash on them:icon_roll

After last night it is hard to be positive. Plain crap. The could not even be bother to fight and scrap for the ball. There was no intent from the players at all. Pathetic

I want to go on record as saying that we could well be relegated this season...

Two years of narrowly avoiding it suggests that we have probably just about ran out of lucky escapes.

Fell like a twat now, but perhaps Holloway would have been a good manager for us...at least there would be some players in with a bit of something about them.

I like RK but on the evidence so far he is really struggling. The team lacks motivation and purpose. To many headless chickens. Persisting with a striker that doesn't score. He really needs to get a grip. And it can only get worse in the next month. Birmingham and Sunderland won't be as crap as Hull. Not looking forward to the beating we will get then.

Too be fair if the players showed half as much commitment and passion for the club as many of the fans on this board demonstrate then we wouldn't be in the current mess.

I agree with Highland, I never expected a promotion push, although I did think if we could have got off to a flyer and built some early momentum the play offs were not totally out of reach, but I also didn't expect to see us begin so poorly and look such a shadow of the team that finished last season so well and at least gave some cause for optimism. I had hoped that last season might have focused a few minds but it appears not too be the case.

Also.....why does everything have to go through AJ, everytime someone gets the ball they look around and do a 2 yard pass to him.....he in return will do a 2 yard pass back, it's as though there being told to use him all the time. He's no different to having Lillian Nalis back at least he got up field more and scored goals now and again! I wouldn't get on Fryatts back too much, every striker has a lean spell, it took Crouch 11 games to get of the mark last season and he hasn't looked back...Owen, Shearer they all have them. To be fair he's not getting the best of service when one of our midfield players (AJ) is virtually playing in defence and his strike partner is having to drop into midfield to battle and scap to get the ball (but with out success)

Frustrating times ahead...with Sunderland, Birmingham, southampton, Leeds and Palace coming up in the next 4-5 weeks!!!!!

AJ is a defensive midfielder FFS :icon_roll Thought he had a decent game.

Hume was utter shi7e
Fryatt got no service and when he did he shot straight away.

Low and Hughes were both shi7e as well!

You play a defensive midfielder when you only have 3 in defence!!!.....to have virtually 5 in defence when your playing at home is a discrace....with Porter and Low playing on the wing you only have Hughes in Midfield which imo isn't strong enough

So all that talk about England having to have a holding player is a load of old bollocks then. Get rid of Hargreaves and bring in an attacking player.

1 of the central midfielders is always sitting defensive player to allow the other to push forward.

Which is good if the other player gets forward. Hughes was anonymous last night!

The problem is neither of our central midfielders seem interested in getting forward. If we have the ball in the last third Hughes might decide to join in, but he's always behind the ball, he doesn't make runs forward to get on the end of passes.

we need to play the ball on the ground not just lob the ball up to the forwards who then are only fighting for scraps. The odd occasion when the front two looked dangerous last night was when the had the ball at their feet and tried to turn the defenders.
Hume just had a bad game while Fryatt appears to be lacking confindence and this is proberbly why he shot on sight last night. This is proberbly twofold, his own lack of confindence and a lack of confindence in the ability of his team mates?
At time last night the atmosphere was good and i thought the team responded, but once they scored heads did drop and they were arguing between themseleves. did anyone sitting in the family stand see McCarthy and Hedo have words after one of Hedo's poor clearances?
Booing the team off the park will not make them play any better. if anything it will make them more nervious of appearing at the Walkers.

I can't imagine what happened to him. He had promise when he first arrived at the club but slowly has gone backwards!:icon_conf

Come on Hughsy!

Agreed. Its been a problem for years and years, no one makes runs beyond the attackers.

But I thought Hughes passed the ball well yesterday up to about the time they scored when he vanished for 20 mins.

I do think on the games I saw Weso play last season he would be a better option than Johnson BUT it is another young player into a struggling team.
