Because of the managerial honeymoon period firstly but secondly he's a bloke around the club whose respected. Although these players are crap, they are capable of mid-table finish when confident and it's all about building the confidence at this stage of the season. Being respected the players will listen and want to learn. Taggart will have the fans on his side meaning that the players can no longer hide behind the manager.

Most of all, he's shown willingness to coach, being in a small capacity at the club coachwise means he knows certain players attitudes etc. and he learnt off one of the best managers around for man management.

The season has descend into five cup finals, it doesnt apply how good they are in terms of quality, it's about results. Everyone would take three 1-0 victories now.

Taggart for me is the type of bloke who will do a good short term job in motivating the current lot.

It is now about commitment, passion and character and I don't see any of those qualities being tapped into by Kelly, we are on a slippery slope so why not try Taggs or AN Other, if we do go down we may as well go with a bang rather than the pathetic whimper we are currently displaying.

We won't gop down,Kelly will go at the end of the season.Employing taggart IMO would be a ridiculous idea.He has absolutely no experience of management and to sack your manager with 5 games to play and replace him with a complete novice is crazy.Mandaric will not do it,this is a Non-Starter

The only one I see put any passion in to their play is Tiatto and he's already made it clear he's off in the Summer.

Past experience of this situation would say otherwise.

Remember West Ham's change of heart with their big-time charlies when Trevor Brooking took over from Glenn Roeder. They were extremely unlucky in getting relegated, got 42 points if I remember correctly.

I think Taggart is far more than the full blooded defender he orignally was. Under the management of MON, he understood the time to turn it on and off.
