it can't help, but it can't hinder more than the attitudes of certain players....which mr holloway should be concentrating on, not if the fans are fecked off at forking out good money to watch shit

Fear of failure. It's arguably behind some of the misfiring England team's performances. It would help explain why the home record lags so far behind the away record and why the team performs against teams expect to win easily against them like Chelsea and Villa. Arguably Watford for that matter.

How would you feel if at work you had someone jeering you and waiting for you to put so much as a finger wrong before barracking and booing. If that's your manager you need to leave

i do have a similar situation at work regarding someone waiting for me to put a foot wrong, and i'll get more than a booing if i do. i'm sure by now mr cort is big and old enough to get over the fact that no fecker outside of football management actually rates him

Have you ever been followed by a police car? You're on edge the whole time, worried about forgetting to indicate or going too fast. Pressure can effect players in the same way.

but you don't slam the brakes on and stand motionless, which is corts problem

What I find interesting is that the youngsters are apparently better than the MM buys like ... Djeziri, Ferreira.
I'd bet all the vCash I don't have on the fact that MM didn't buy either of them.

Not only that but I'll lob my casino cash on them not even being at the club anymore.

Looking at players on loan and then kicking them out if it doesn't pan out seems OK to me. :102:

Maybe we should be hiring better "talent" scouts. Try before you buy is okay but knowing the product and making a sensible purchase is a better plan. :icon_wink

I don't boo mate ,just trying to point out why some do :bang:
Not directed at you - just a general question on what we do when a player is not performing, when Kisnorbo was a midfielder he looked like shite and took a lot of stick, but with support from management he turned it around. He has been a decent player for us - jeering him off the pitch every time could have meant he never made it which would have been a shame.

Behind the freaky nutty as clown image that IH likes to exude, i'm sure there is a shrewd manager. His previous club are currently in 6th place and enjoying what for them is the best league position for many a year. What happened at Plymouth is not down to Paul Sturrock, its the side IH built.
IH has been at the club barely 2wks and yet already the snipers are out. It appears to me that some are disenchanted with the appointment and want him to fail. All that i can say is at least give the bloke a chance. If he criticized certain aspects of the crowd, then he done it because he knows that after only 3 games that its too early for his job to be on the line because of results. If people want to be so negative then why go ? If you know its going to be shit, if you feel like you are wasting your time then why not register your protest by not turning up. I'm not against people who give abuse to the players, but it should be done at end of the game.

Well they were both here in November so if you are right, thank christ for that.

i have nothing against him as a manager and hope he turns out to be good, the only issue i have actually got on the whole thing is how IH thinks he can tell fans what they should and shouldn't be doing at the games, his responsibility is the team....which was shit. granted they are not players he has bought in but he may want to look at dealing with the performance on the pitch before criticising those off it.

oh, and the referee...he didn't like his performance either, even though it was clearly clemence's fault we conceded the penalty

Glad to hear it. Have Fergie and Wenger ever been good losers ?

yes they have, which is why i think IH will do well here

hopefully IH doesn't actually believe it was the referee's fault though
