Also he may have waived his rights to any bonuses, so there would still be a tidy saving, also if the rumours are true that Morris is on circa 12k per week then even with 6 -8 weeks or so it would still be 70 - 100k saving, add that to the any potential savings on loyalty bonuses and it is a sensible deal.

It may also help provide some extra money, maybe it could provide Kelly with the means to pay for a fee on a new player in the summer.

TBH, I don't think the saving will be much at all, as he is entitled to see out his contract with us. I think it is more sort of "tidying up" on our side, getting rid of the dead wood, etc. If there was a saving, and I'm only guessing here, I would be surprised if it was more than £10,000.:frown:

There is no way he is on that A to the Zee. MdV and Levein were the highest paid members of staff at the club this season by some way and neither were on quite that much.

I'm sure in the whole history of LCFC there has never been a player who has done so little and been talked about so much as Lee Morris!

Anyone who has seen Lee Morris play in a Leicester shirt is a LCFC anorak. FACT

Either that - or an arsey old feckpig.

It's official, he's gone:

Morris Departs

Lee Morris has today left Leicester City after his contact with the club was cancelled by mutual consent.

Morris joined the Foxes from Derby County in February 2004, but his career at the Walkers Stadium has been thwarted by a succession of serious injuries.

In total the 25-year-old striker made 10 appearances for the Foxes over a two year period.

The club would like to go on record and wish Lee all the best for the future.

I bet the guy is almost unemployable now

Problem is somebody will take a 'chance' on him, what price he turnms up at Cov on a pay as you play deal or on a 12 month contract following a trial period.

Football is one of the very few industries where failure and injury are rewarded by chance after chance after chance.
