If that walker thing is true then    why the fook replace him with douglas. It seems as if CL just wants the players in the squad to be His signings. He brought Kisnorbo when we had Joey, Sylla for Gillespie, Gilbert, who seems to be no worse than jordan. Willimas is an outcast (maybe that is reasonable though) It does seem though that CL got rid of a lot of capable players at the start, and replaced them with players of the same quality..

CL's good buys - Hughes, Gerrbrand, McCarthy, Johansson (I am worried about this spat I must say), Hume, Henderson.
Adequate - Douglas, Maybury, de Vries.
Bad - Hammond, Sylla, Gilbert.
Jury out - Hamill, Kisnorbo.

Re-signing Dublin and Wilcox can go in the debit column too.

I'd agree with most of this but would put Hume in the "jury out" column at the moment. He looks good, and I'd like him to have a run of games, but at the moment he's scored as many as Elvis and missed a few himself.

Hume is still in his honeymoon period, personally I have serious reservations. I'd like to see him given a run of three consecutive full games before making a final judgement though, so probably next season then.

It seems to me that we are starting to lose perspective about some of our previous players.

Walker went to premiership Bolton, does anyone seriously think we could have competed with them.

Gillespie was a shocking player most of the time, OK Sylla is looking equally as bad but Gillespie had to go.

Kisnorbo has started 12 games, a mix of the good, bad and ugly, jury still out.

Jordan was a gamble, but he had stopped improving a long time ago and was one one of the few players who could generate some cash. Having only started 9 games for Watford this season the gamble looks like paying off.

Stephen Dawson - who ?

The way things are going someone will suggest that Hume couldn't hold a candle to Blake.

There are planty of things wrong at the moment, let's not complicate things by looking at the past through rose tinted glasses.

As regards Hume, I have 1 question. If ,as CL and Rk say, they had been tracking him for a while, even when at Hearts, now they have him, why are they not giving him a run of games? :102:

We don't know the full reason why the manager said what he did.

If the manager had repeatedly given him instructions on how he was supposed to be playing, but he ignored this and did his own thing, it would be a good enough reason for the manager to get rid of him. It's difficult to come to a definite conclusion without knowing all the facts.

As pointed out above, this would be ok providing that the manager had a grasp of how we should be playing...the jury is out on that one but may be soon ready to deliver a verdict.
