Sorry World

And I left my phone on charge over night, we are all in the shit now.

Now im really worried. 0.75 degree average rise over 100 years, feck me we will all be dead within a week.

Turn your ****ing phone off, then, you irresponsible bastard. Think of the children

Personally speaking, I don't think I could face another scorching hot summer like the one we have suffered this year

As the title says - Global warming - what global warming? :102: :icon_wink

Climate and the Carboniferous Period

The vast majority of experts on the subject (scientists, not conspiracy theorists) say global warming is happening, it's bad, and it's caused by humans.

The chart above is misleading because of the timescale involved, so recent changes won't show up on it.

Humans have been around for less than the last 0.1% of the period shown on the chart. The period humans have been burning fossil fuels has been less than 0.1% of that 0.1%, so it's impossible to use the chart to show the effect humans are having on the climate.

But one thing it does show that it's generally been hotter when there's been more CO2 in the atmosphere. And those periods when it's been hotter would have made much of the earth uninhabitable by humans.

That Alex Jones, he's no nutty conspiracy theorist is he?:icon_wink

He thinks his readers are gullible idiots.

In the article he says "Britain suffered its coldest April in decades", but his source is an article published in March, talking about it being the coldest Easter for 44 years. But it was the earliest Easter in almost a century, so you'd expect it to be colder than normal.

It was actually the coldest April since 2001, so not 'the coldest April in decades', and he conveniently fails to mention that January, February, March and May all had above average temperatures.

It was explained objectively in the second part of the Iain Stewart Climate wars series.

Basically mass industrialisation, cut all the trees down, exploit all the resources (leaving your TV on standby) and you don't expect there to be any effect??

There are ideas that other things effect warming naturally, doesn't mean we can ignore the obvious that is going on.
