Possibility certainly but we are still not too many points away from the play off places.

IMO going down would have been the most likely outcome if we had kept that wank job Megson!

We may well have just saved ourselves!

there is only 2 points between 2nd and 20th.

Not going down... we've had a hugely lucky escape getting rid of that complete ****ing cock Megson... ****ing hate the ****, thank **** he's gone. I genuinely hate him more than Wise or Taylor. I did when he was charge. No idea why, I just ****ing hated him.

So, for me, the season starts here.

"CAN'T BE WORSE THAN MEGSON'S BLUE AND WHITE ARMY"

Anyone who thinks there's no way we will become embroiled in yet another relegation fight should perhaps take a look at the Points Watch thread to see just how well we are doing in comparison to our previous few crappy years....

I totally agree that we are prime candidates for relegation. All this talk of it only being October and there being 30 games to go - we heard this same stuff for the last three seasons. How many times can we escape relegation by the skin of our teeth? We can't always rely on sacking the manager with a few games to go and us scraping through. Eventually we are going to get caught out.
i wouldnt say we are prime candidates for relegation, but if we dont get a change of playing staff we will be hovering.

ive heard on here that kaebi and ferrera are the answer.playing 4-4-2 is the answer.a new manager is the answer.

the answer is not playing the likes of , matock, sheehan, stearman, porter, cort, king, newton, kenton cambell, de vries.

also hume,fryatt,weso,n'gotty are suspect.

these players are not of enough quality to gain us a play off place.

we need to bring in some quality just to keep us up.imo.

Well the manner in which we performed against an absolutely shite team like Shef Utd showed us all how bad we’ve become as a team. It’s nothing better if not worse than what we saw last season. Things really need to change drastically and getting rid of the ginger twat is one off them.

I only started this thread last night out of anger about the result and to highlight my going concern about our current predicament. I felt this was a question for a debate given the similarities to last season and our drop back into the relegation zone after the result. I didn’t really anticipate boring little cretins from Foxestalk to come on here and start labelling people ‘planks’ and cause arguments for the sake of it.

So, realistically we can’t even consider making any kind play off push as a possibility the way we’ve been playing. At the moment we’re struggling in an extremely piss poor league with a piss poor squad.

Let’s hope Milan realises he’s made a few errors with his judgement on certain things and starts to put things right a bit.

I would argue that the way we played was indicative of our management and tactical approach not our potential ability. I do believe that we have a fine defence and potentially a decent attack. The only thing we miss are two wingers.

Too proud? I think he is too decent. Milan wont walk.

Just because it hasn't happened before, doesn't mean it won't happen in the future.

The guy is in his late 60's and operating from a base way removed from his roots in England let alone elsewhere.

He has already shown signs of irritation with a section of the fans and there is a bit of a chance we are in for a bumpy ride.

I'm certainly not saying he will walk away - but it is a possible scenario.

Turning round Leicester City does seem to be a bigger job than most people anticipated. To be honest, I think any talk of promotion or play offs this year is pretty absurd. For reasons that I can't entirely fathom we seem to have a recurring pattern of under-performing players. I guess one of the main problems is that they have had so many different managers and coaches telling them what to do - a process which is bound to continue now - that they don't know where they are. And I bet those who know where they are wish they had never arrived here!

No - i don't see us being relegated - but there is not much to suggest that we can aspire to anything better than lower mid-table this season.

This bullshit should stop now. He did not have to come here, there was plenty to make him go somewhere else.

He said he wanted to be back in the premier league within 3 years. It is his own blind ambition that has made him change that and want to get there sooner.

Give him a f*cking chance. I don't think you will find another chairman like him. He gets in there with the fans and travels to game on the train when he could clearly buy his own train. That to me shows a down to earth honesty that is quite refreshing in a big ego business.

He wants sucess and he makes the decisions. They won;t always be right and when they won't he will be big enough to make the necessary change. He'll get it wrong lots of times but HE ONLY NEEDS TO GET IT RIGHT ONCE!

Give him the chance to do that and stop with the pointless childish fingerpointing. Its no ones fault. If it is anyones at all it should be firmly on the doorstep of the people that ran our club into serious financial difficulty and the brink of extinction.

Sleep it off and post when you have something constructive to say.

Stop being so negative and get behind the players.

*Oxymoron alert!*

I agree with SilverFox, i believe that Mandaric will take us up eventually, it's obviously not going to happen overnight, and he's made a couple of mistakes, but he will succeed in time. He is a businessman, he is not going to just write off an investment completely and walk away!

He made mistakes with Pompey but he got them up, and look where they are now, we need to stay behind him, the last thing we need is for the majority to turn on him.

I also don't think our squad is that bad, it's absolutely massive but there is enough quality in it for us to finish in the top half, which would be a massive improvement on the last couple of seasons.

So long as we don't get another boring negative twunt to manage us, we'll be fine, now everyone stop being so negative and get behind them!

Those 6 red players played in the "Game that never happened" and 4 of them scored goals. With the possible exception of Sheehan's slightly deflected 20 yd shot, they were all great goals. It was not a 'freak' result!
Hume got kicked into touch and the ref did not even book his attacker!
We had only 1 corner, but 11 shots on target.

The other team in the "Game that never happened" have Won 9 Drawn 2 Lost 1. They played well that day. We played better. We displayed more skill, more stamina, more courage and more desire.

The point is, the players ARE good enough, when they have the right training, organisation, motivation and belief. They did it 8 weeks ago. They have done it against a strong Aston Villa side. They can do it again.

We have enough good players now to reach the play-offs, but are probably missing an 'Izzet' type.

We just need one GOOD manager.

Businessmen often have to do that, part of being a success in business is to know when to cut your losses.

Not in a million years.
One thing for sure MM has true loyalty to whatever endevour he partakes in.
He will never leave untill he has achieved his goals.
Tough challenges is what keeps him ticking.

And that concludes this party political broadcast by the Milan Mandaric party.

Now it's back to the topless darts at Roehampton.
