Excuse me but we have been nothing but supportive of the likes of Oakley, McGivern, Dickov, Campbell, Brown, Neilson, Adjarevic......

Jordan Stewart was another who got great backing, especially away at Stoke.

We have a long tradition of really backing our players.

The unconditional love and affection that Josh Low recieved from his faithful moved me to tears on occasions.

i'm going to have to get the specious reasoning yellow card out there

Solano is slightly older than Beckham, who is good, therefore Solano is good?

jesus. i'm the same age as David Beckham, perhaps city should sign me?

Gradel vs Solano, how depressing is that? I remember when we had some decent players

I'm going to have to get out the mis understanding card out here, he didn't argue he was as good as Beckham based on his age, he argued that his age isn't any older than Beckham, so saying he was past it at that age was the same as arguing Beckham is as well, which no-one would (except me, I think they are both past it).

There seems to be a pattern emerging with the players you're mentioning.... they are all shit.

Yeah, but we should have cheered them and praised them blindly all the same - especially that Josh Low, he could have been a City Legend that one

As far as I am aware, Mr Gradel has had the continued support and adoration of the fans whenever he has played, so can't really see the point of all this nonsense

Gradel seems to be looked upon as some sort of demi god by many for some reason. Not sure why though because Dyer was twice the player he was last year... and I doubt anyone would shed a tear over him leaving.

ah...memo to self...read thread

Except Alan Sheehan, and I can understand that.

Now he is a strange one and i would love to know the truth on him, i am sure that something has gone on behind the scenes with him as he is continually farmed out (Oldham ~ Swindon) and we have more or less played a right footed central midfielder in the l/b spot instead of a left back (Sheehan).

He was ok when he came on loan initially from you, we took him on permenantly and he then settled down and was superb, we were chuffed to bits with him then all of a sudden after a few bad games he can not get into the team at all.

Seems strange how they can overlook a l/b for a right footed midfielder?

I heard he was a bit of a pi$$ head (only a rumour and we know what forum rumours are most of the time).

I'm surprised he did well for you. He can't tackle, he gives away too many free kicks and gets too many cards. His only asset is his set piece taking.

He's not a pisshead but he certainly likes a drink and whilst at Leicester, was one of our academy lads always found in nightclubs etc. Also, suffers from inflated head. See Joe Mattock

:icon_lol: tbf to mattock he has been proven right so far anyway theyve more chance of going up than us :icon_wink

Let's hope Solano proves all the ever present negative brigade on here wrong then.

Not even kicked A ball and people are slagging him off, what a ****ing surprise, no wonder Gradel felt welcomed by the Leeds fans, they might have a high proportion of total dick heads but I bet they actually back their players.

I hope that he proves people like me wrong too.

Unfortunately, the record shows that bringing in old stagers who have been engaged in a stuttering end to their careers doesn't generally bring a lot of joy - except to the old stager's bank account.

What is certain is that Gradel could improve - Solano won't. If we had been looking to boost the prospects of a play-off place, then in my opinion this isn't the way to do it. Then again, I suspect that MM is understandably being particularly cautious at the moment and no one seems to be doing a lot of business anyway.

Solano may of course suddenly turn into the player that he never actually was!....and Hull could still mathematically win the Premiership.

Personally I hope he turns out to be shit and a massive waste of time and money for Leeds.
