From the OS:

City winger Johnny Hayes has been released from his contract by mutual consent.

The 23-year-old Irishman was signed from Reading two years ago by then manager Martin Allen who had had him on loan at MK Dons but he made only one full appearances, and six as substitute, and went to Northampton Town on loan where he made 11 appearances.

His last City action was in the friendly at King's Lynn last Saturday.

Probably for the best really, he was never going to feature much this season.

Good move, get the shit time wasters out of the door.

Thank God there is one less Martin Allen signing on the wage bill. With all due respect to Peter Taylor I think Martin Allen has to be ther worst judge of a player we have ever had at Leicester.

Are there any of his players left at the club now? Apart from DJ?

Martin Allen’s Inspired Signings

DJ Campbell - Leicester.
Stephen Clemence - Leicester.

Shaun Newton - Unattached.
Hossein Kaebi - Mes, Iran (third club since leaving).
Jonathan Hayes - Unattached.
James Chambers - Doncaster
Radostin Kishishev - Litex Lovech, Bulgaria.
Sergio Hellings - SV Roeselare, Belgium (second club since leaving).
Carl Cort - Unattached.
Ricky Sappleton - Leicester.
Bruno N’Gotty - Unattached.
Jimmy Nielsen - Vejle Boldklub, Denmark.
Marton Fulop - Sunderland (returned after loan)
Clive Clarke - Left Sunderland in 2008 due to health reasons.

Am I missing any player out?

Ferreria and Djzeri (sp?) signed on loan before Megson joined but after Allen left.

Porter, Weslowski and Sappleton next out the door please.

Hmmmmmmmmmm look at all that shite. I wonder if Mr Allen liked a bung!?!

Just because he signed Kaebi, Hellings, Hayes, Nielsen and Sappleton despite the fact that he clearly didn't rate any of them?

Actually it doesn't seem like you had to jump far to get to that conclusion.

However I'm more of the opinion that he was from the Harry Redknapp school of management - a 'throw-some-shit-and-see-what-sticks' type of manager. Par example: Campbell, Clemence, Cort, Kishishev, Newton.

getting a little click of ex players up there now

Is that the same as a clique, except their bones are all knackered so they make a clicking noise when they move?

So we pay his contract up then he goes and signs for them!! Wonderfull!

We did not pay his contract up, it was a mutual termination so the fee was probably much less than his contract was worth.

We still paid him to leave!

How do you know the club and Player didn't just agree to cancel so that he could go to his new club on a free?

Stop being so rational and reasonable.

How dare he find himself another club after leaving us? We should've forced him to stay at home all day watching Jeremy Kyle, instead of getting on with his relatively short playing career.

How very dare he?!?!?

I dont i just would of thought it would of been anounced he signed for them on a free from us rather than us terminating his contract. But what do i know!
