If Dawson has turned down a contract offer it could be he's been offered a contract somewhere else.

Somewhere like Manchester City, for instance.

But wasn't the speculation that they were interested in him before they changed manager?

A little bird just popped in and told me that he might still be heading in that direction.

And with the balls of the two Citys coming out of the bag together with such monotonous regularity, it might not be too long before he has a chance to show us what we have missed.

However, and when all is said and done, I am sure that CL offered him what he thought he was worth to Leicester. If he doesn't want to be Leicester, that's his loss!

And presumably we'll get a compensation fee for him.

Why would we get a fee, as he has left at the end of his contract surely he is a free agent?

this time last week everyone was goin on about how great Levein was on the phone in...and now the 'little uns' are all upset with him cos a reserve player is leaving.

i would like to think that Levein has SOME idea of what he is doing...and if Dawson doesn't want to stay then he can bugger off. yes he might turn round and show Levein what he can do,but he could just as easily go down the same road as many other kids who have left the club over the years...like Stuart Wilson and Stuart Campbell. playing lower league football.

oh...has Pet rescue posted on the hysterical thread yet? lol
why do i think that he won't be a happy bunny?

He's under 24, and therefore not completely a free agent. Whoever will have to compensate us for his loss, just as we had to compensate F!"£$t for Gareth Williams - though not nearly so much.

(Yes, it did say 26 before I edited it!)

exactly.
especially as he hasn't played any first team football.

so it wouldn't be a great deal.

If the fee is based on FIFA's guidelines, it shouldn't have anything to do with how many matches he's played, it should only be compensation for the training he's received.
But it appears that the FA add other things into the equation, such as appearances, internationals etc.

If we get some cash for Dawson, and CL can pick up more players like Hughes and McCarthy, who both cost peanuts, then it actually looks like a good bit of business.... :?
