I'll guess Yeovil based on the cider advert.

I think its a bolder decision to keep Holloway than to fling him. If we were shipping 2-0 or 3-0 defeats then a change would be best but we've been capable of winning all the games we're drawing / losing. Perhaps the players thought they were too good to go down - now they owe us the fight of their lives and IH needs to deliver a few Churchill moments.

Ah well at least the fans can sample terracing again:icon_bigg

I actually get a bit excited about standing on terraces again (i know, we r not down yet). I Went to Chesterfield away in the cup back in 98 i think. It was like 500 city fans forced into a car park - qualtiy atmos and everyone had a great time. A rarety, just like the Graham Fenton goal we were treated to!

Although on the other hand - i watched Luton for 3 years whilst i lived down there and the standard of football, even being 1 division below, is noticibly poorer - and the style can quite easily 'rot' your squad beyond repair (bradford, swindon, millwall, etc)

Am I on the right site, are these the posts of the same people who were slagging me (and a few others) off for saying Holloway wasn't up to the job. How things change eh !

hope he takes all the strikers with him . ****ing usless , i said that this was the year we go down , looks like i am right sorry , we can all be in it together yea and get behind the team , but i am sorry mr holloway ,we cant put it in the net 4 u ? sick of all the bullshit

I've read this thread thoroughly, but I'm still struggling to understand something.

I have always been unsure of Holloway's credential from day one, and have continually had verbal shit thrown at me for asking questions about his ability, I'd like to ask again in the hope that one of the more intelligent of you can put me straight;

FAO all those saying Holloway shouldn't be sacked, and that he is the right man for this club;

Other than our current circumstance of manager turnover, why is he the right man for this club? I would prefer answers based on evidence rather than emotional and circumstantial please.

Why do you need evidence, what do you think this is, CSI Miami?

I actually feel Holloway is the first manager we have had who has actually tried to put things right. He has brought in some very good players. The likes of Hendrie, Oakley, Howard etc are in my opinion very good players at this level.

I appreciate that results have not gone our way, but he is doing his very best to try and get the team playing football in my opinion.

What I would like to know for all those people who are now saying "I told you so" or calling for Holloways head who they want to see replace him?

I knew it was too much to ask, hence my caveat/terms/disclaimer/request :icon_roll

Sorry Matt, I was trying to be sensible, you start your reply with a line that and my brain won't allow me to take the rest of your post seriously.

i dont think Holloway is the problem at the club, its Milan, he is a virus to our club...FACT

Are you me in disguise? Couldn't have put it better.
The problem with this club is that we don't pull together. The first sign of trouble and everyone is pointing the finger: this player is crap, the manager should go....
We have changed manager and every player more times than I can remember over the last four years - and where has it got us? We have a squad that should be challenging at the top of this league, but looks to be about to leave by the other exit. Short term fixes haven't worked. I think that we have to take the nasty medicine and hope that we make a slow recovery: its clear that the miracle cure isn't going to happen.

To me, I see this as a sign of a Manager underperforming, not as a positive.
