Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

He owns the club, so who he pays has nothing to do with anyone else. Sounds like old board members trying to muddy his name even more (not that he needs much help).

Absolutely: he who makes the rules can break the rules.

The AGM is now completely meaningless - unless Milan wants to use it as a platform. They should get real and accept that since they were not prepared to finance the club they have no right to criticise he who did.

From a well known site. :icon_bigg :icon_wink

Matthias Doumbe is receiving interest from Ipswich Town and Leicester City.....

Leicester City:
In:
Fulop 500 k
Norris
Koumas
Howard

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

Glen Little from Reading

Good shout but his contract is up at the end of the season and I am not sure we should be signing 32/33 year old wingers. If we could get him on loan for the remainder then good business.

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

well according to mm he is gonna back holloway in the transfer market and hopes to bring in upto 5 new players...whether he will be splashing the cash for those or using money from player sales who knows??

Dont get much for half a crown these days though

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

This might be a bit optimistic but Matt Taylor at Portsmouth is class and he hasn't been in the picture much this season down there. Perhaps with the Redknapp connection we could get him on loan?

possible? would Taylor want to come and join our relegation battle? I think i know the answer.
#

# Sunderland boss Roy Keane is ready to turn to Celtic defender Bobo Balde to sort out his defence and is also keen on Portsmouth's Matty Taylor.

I'm being way too hopeful I think, but how about Dave Nugent on loan?

Hardly got a look in at Pompey since his big summer move, and he must be looking for first team football at the minute. Think he would be willing to drop back down temporarily to get first team action, and maybe rebuild confidence by scoring goals again in the Fizzy.
I'm sure if he's available lots of other clubs would be interested, but could be worth a go? "Pompey connection" again...

Re: Hollaway's Transfer Targets

We don't have Gypsies in Oz, I do miss the sight of those caravans they used to have. I guess the closest equivalent would be our aborigines. No caravans though. And a didgeridoo just doesn't sound the same as a fiddle by the flickering campfire.

we have Russian/finnish gypos in Seden.. the women walk around with huge dresses that "according to common folklaw" have hooks on the inside for stealing things from shops. There is a reported incident where a women tried to steal a TV under her skirt...

Anyway back to the football...MM is a moneyman..let's be realistic we have no chance of going up this year so he will spend just enough to keep us up..I feel it is his and MA's fault from the beginning. ok he says all this seasons transfers where MA2 choice..but i wonder how much budget MA had?

Good call Graz, a much better option up front than Howard and someone that either Fryatt, Hume or Campbell could play off.

Nugent? Absolutely no chance... Portsmouth will be losing most of their strikers during the African Nations Cup, so the 0.0000005% chance we could have got him has gone out of the window.

Nugent would be an absolutely amazing capture - will not happen.

From a new guy on FT

"Sorry to butt in the middle of the Savage and Roberts transfer convo, but for some reason it wont allow me to create a new topic???

Anyway, my wife Anne has a sister who works as a physiotherapist down at Upton Park. She is only at 2 training sessions during midweek at Chadwell heath (West Ham's training ground), and works the majority of the time with the Academy players. She has one session a week with one half of the first team, seeing as though herself and her colleague are assigned certain players on certain sessions to help with injuries and so on. The other day she travelled up here to see the kids, bring round their Xmas presents and had dinner before they set back off down south. Whilst talking to her about how her work is we got onto the subject of how many injuries there have been down at West Ham this year, she then began to talk about how Lee Bowyer is in talks with Ollie about a possible move to Leicester. Apparently he has held talks with Watford, Palace and us after Alan Curbishley told him he can leave in January if he and his agent can find a club. She said this is the reason why he has suddenly became unheard of around West Ham, he was due back in time for the Reading game last week but has been away for 4 weeks after what was supposed to be a one game ban, and he has only been in training twice, but was suited up and drove off with his agent after talking to coach Mervyn Day at both training sessions.

Was rather interesting to hear, only have to wonder wether Bowyer would leave London to the Midlands or wether he would stay in the city. The bloke isn't a bad little player, has had his fair share of trouble in the past but I thought he has been doing alright so far this season. Get him in Ollie!"

Certainly the type of goalscoring midfielder we need.
