I visited Poznan for four days in 1977. Gave a couple of lectures. Those were very bleak days in Poland. Nothing in the shops, long queues for the basics like bread and meat. I remember there was always plenty of beer though.

Started a temp job in July, and tomorrow was meant to be my last day... They mentioned me staying for an extra week to cover holiday, then called me in today to say they want me to stay until end of October! And they might have something at the end of that! Really pleased! I really enjoy the job, so want to stay!

I had 2 dogs 3 months ago,one had to be put to sleep cause she had a tumour (she was 15 though) and 3 weeks later to the day the other one just gave up,(she was 13).
The vet said she was obviously missing the other one.

And i still get upset when i see thier piccys :icon_sad:
